  1. Looking forward to seeing The Hulk on the track in proper race form Richard, those wheels look magic and will enable some sort of wide tyres to be fitted. It's going to look like a proper racer
  2. Update note just to say that the car is still in storage simply because there is no room for it at home at present On the engine conversion, in retrospect a DBW accelerator would have been a better option but the present Haltech won't run it anyway although their new Elite ECU will. Now have a 3.7 torsen LSD to use as well as the present 3.9 R200, 3.7 would be better for Phillip Island and Bathurst. And that's about it, no track car is not a good situation to be in so sympathy to those who for whatever reason are in the same situation.
  3. Of course, memory must be going, blame Xmas.
  4. So, has the something in the pipeline emerged yet?
  5. 'A' group it is then, with my new under three litre V8 Once the logistics have been sorted of course.
  6. The "B" series dates would suit me better, anyone else? And Peter, you have finally moved into the big time with the RX7, there is no going back
  7. Cool for a daily driver, the +2's come up quite well in a dark colour.
  8. Pretty sure he ran up against Neville in the FalZed a couple of times and was well off the pace, despite having a significant power advantage. Which takes nothing away from the car of course.
  9. So the windscreen wipers don't have to be changed to suit the usual RHD configuration? Because that is not a simple job.
  10. Anyone know what the track record of this Zed is? If it's the one I heard about the driver was struggling to get up to competitive lap times, despite the work that had gone into the car which from all reports is a quality piece of work. Pity it went south though but well done to the new owner
  11. Yeh it's a bit confusing at the moment but on the other hand it's great work by those involved to get the info out already, certainly there is enough info for those who may be interested to start planning now. If the V8 SUV is a runner I'll certainly be interested in some events, not on that faggy full E circuit though
  12. For our visitors who will be sprinting here are links to some incar video of the two circuits that will be used. A good view of the K circuit and the starting setup here And here is a incar view of the E circuit which is basically the K with the new fast bit cut off https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJ9OBof6P0I. As you can see, there is a fair bit to learn so hope this helps.
  13. So you are going to take it easy for a start with the new car he he.
  14. This is the 2015 MP sprint series thread Jason, your post will confuse most so how about starting a new thread?
  15. Expressed my 2015 interest to WDSCC a while ago, nothing back yet.
  16. Windscreen wipers?
  17. Still at the panel beaters? What a brilliant thread this is, a must read for anyone thinking of a out of the ordinary engine transplant eg the clutch MC solution. Understand now why custom exhaust makers don't want to do stainless too and aligning the laser pointer to get the tailshaft alignment correct, that's something which I've wondered about in the past. Great read too with plenty of pics, love it
  18. 227kph from a standing start, some don't do that down Conrod on a normal lap. Hope I can do something at Bathurst in 2015, it's taking too long.
  19. Linking YouTube the same as usual, run the video on YT, save as usual, post here.
  20. Would not use a 2J engine in a S30 circuit car ever - too heavy, too high CofG, too much weight forward for a chassis like the S30's. Some people get fixated on power irrespective of anything else, for a circuit car it's a mistake.
  21. Peter, did you look at YouTube's fault finding section? I typed in "file too large" in the search function, there were several responses.
  22. Not unless you grace us with your presence Jason
  23. What Mick said. The other good thing about a LSx is it's lower centre of gravity compared with a twin cam anything but just be sure what capacity engine is allowed to be legally fitted into a S30 if registering the car might be an option.
  24. LSx will give you better weight distribution than a straight six and be lighter than the popular ones too. Plus they don't need a turbo to give you lots of fasts.
