  1. PM sent mate.
  2. It looks like the LS3 is a bit lighter than the VG30DET, have to get it weighted again but expecting something like 1150kg total. Probably won't be track ready until early 2015 due to something else that has to be sorted first but after that it all should be good.
  3. C'mon Aub, I'm a cu*t but you can give Jason the special treatment he is entitled to lol. Beating all the Zeds eh Jason, well no problem with turning up and doing it again at NDN15 then, this will be worth seeing folks
  4. Pick it up from the pro next week, problem with the brand new alternator which is draining the battery but time is running as it and the trailer have to go into storage for a while. Anyone around 4054, I'm offering $275 per month for lock up storage. A few more things to be done but all the time/$ consuming things like getting the tach and speedo to work with a Tremec/8 instead of a 6 have been taken care of.
  5. Hey, Jason is quite capable of making his own excuses, lots of practice lol.
  6. Sorry Jason, when I saw your words "Non-Event? last minute balls-up? Z's only? All a bit "secret squirrel, must be a member, shoosh shoosh ?" I thought that you must be trolling. Silly me Be good if you do come and bring your mighty Datsun sporty, just be aware that you will get thrashed by multiple Zeds so make sure it's right, we don't want any excuses do we now
  7. As is always the situation, prices and exact details will be settled in plenty of time, those who have been involved in these sorts of events well know that it's impossible to have prices and details settled over seven months in advance, surely you realise that Jason so I guess that you are just trolling. But it's good that you are thinking of it so far ahead though, going to be a great event for all Nissan/Datsun owners, drivers and enthusiasts
  8. Is it a special Zed kit? There are a few after market electric systems around, I've also heard of OE systems being adapted to work on other cars but have no details. Would be tempted to see what's available locally rather than get something from overseas first up.
  9. The Hoosier semis presently on 17" wheels are about 24.5" dia.
  10. Good times boys, to be honest I would not be keen on doing any wet laps at Lakeside on semi slicks. As for pads for the Toyota calipers, they are common with a number of cars so there will be a reasonable choice. At this stage any decent high performance pad should do you, racing pads only if racing is about all you do.
  11. That's pretty good Peter, I forget, is the starter around there somewhere? Starter and steering shaft were the problems with mine.
  12. Will do underneath pics on a hoist when the Z is picked up, the exhaust is the one big expensive issue with fitting a V8 if it's a performance design.
  13. Had it so long I can't remember, it's a PWR aluminium replacement for a Nissan of some sort.
  14. Want to sign up for this but can't find an entry form on the website so can someone fix me up for one for A or B, whichever is the Z club's popular choice . PM OK. Any other MP newbs coming aboard for 2015?
  15. It will be in action as soon as possible Aub, that's all I know for sure at the moment.
  16. What's on then Aub?
  17. More progress, the engine is running
  18. Wow, going fast while standing still, top effort
  19. Don't mind the rear view, the side view not so much.
  20. Don't forget you will need a mechanic to keep your Z running
  21. For some reason or other it seems that it's easier to fit extractors into a S30 than a S130, I suspect that the LS sits a bit differently in the respective engine bays.
  22. Ha ha, like that would fit in my engine bay Peter Certainly an off the shelf set would have saved some money but no way in the world would those ones in the pic fit for mine.
  23. The exhaust is completed and in the car so it must all fit, I don't think it would be possible to do a proper four into one equal length, on the R side anyway. As long as it sounds good, is not too loud and does not drag on the ground I'm happy. 400-450WHP will do me fine so that should not be a problem with that exhaust, have now decided to just get the engine running, lay it up for a few months, then I'll be able to get back to it later with a cam change and whatever else the engine needs to reach the power target plus a dyno tune of course.
  24. Pro has finished the exhaust, pic of the R extractor below which has to wriggle around the steering shaft, clear the starter motor and a few other things. Once you have to go custom with an exhaust the cost goes ^ big time, bang for buck it would be cheaper to go for a more basic system but this should look and sound cool, have to get those priorities right
