  1. Interesting but "First, there’s the design of the car itself. Classic cars were created very much in an analogue world where designers used pencil and paper to create elegant shapes and flowing lines that would just not be possible on the computer-based design software used by modern car designers."
  2. After all the hard years and disappointments it was easy, relatively Congrats Jon and Gina.
  3. Be interesting to see how the rear quarters turn out, there are a few different styles. Saw an example just the other day, at HybridZ I think, that looked really good to me. It followed the back of the door up and then did a 90 degree turn to sweep back to the rear. LS3TT? Man I have a NA LS3 with cam and exhaust only and it is simply awesome, race only.
  4. Look at it this way. The Z is the Japanese mummy and she adopts a German motor baby which thereby becomes Japanese. If the baby screams it is then as a Japanese screamer. Oooh, my head hurts
  5. Bavarian screamer ??!!?? More like a Japanese screamer with an adopted engine
  6. Who owns the other 280ZX 2+0 David?
  7. News about this? Sup Regs?
  8. How were they 'incorrectly' double roll pinned?
  9. Yeh, HybridZ is the place to go for all sorts of suspension changes, including S13.
  10. Good one, lets use an iconic rally car for speedway, what could possibly go wrong
  11. If you haven't already done so, I'd check the door fit front, top and back before cutting any metal.
  12. Yeah but I'm a Warwicker too so location, location. Still a a bummer though, nice car yours.
  13. Interesting Gordo, interesting, similar thoughts here. Rather than fit the u-beaut twin element wing sitting in the shed, I'm looking at relying on the existing bobtail rear spoiler but with a modest Gurney attached. They are quite efficient downforce as to drag. Keep us up to date how yours goes.
  14. Agree. But we never had and still don't have race series for sports cars like the Z line which sucks big time. All about sedan racing here, pfffft.
  15. Not good but at least it didn't end up through the windscreen. As they sometimes do. Where and when did it happen?
  16. Your in car video? Try a splitter to get more heat into the front tyres?
  17. Looking at the 'as is' pillarless pics there, lightbulb moment. The +2 has never appealed to me but a proper body mod to remove the bits between the front and rear windows would look pretty sensational. Don't know exactly how that would be done but hey, that's what pro's get the big bucks for
  18. Lol Aubrey, over 90kg these days, too much of the good life. They come with no paperwork these days, it's all online though. All the settings are being checked and seeing that the rear track has gone from 1355mm to 1385 there should be a fair bit of difference. May go for a play on Saturday, between testing* the Zed at Morgan Park and this I'm getting over loaded with motorsport hehe. *Testing the Zed mainly involves trying to keep it straight, the 2.1km circuit certainly does not favour cars which have put on some weight along with more power.
  19. Seven years, not sure if you need congratulations or sympathy Do something for me John, spray that engine with WD40 or something, it looks unhappy like it is.
  20. What's not to love about a V8 Zed
  21. Spoke with the dealer's tech bloke and he tells me the rear track has to be increased substantially, it was delivered incorrectly adjusted. He was pretty good on the phone, gave me all the important setup figures so that's a plus. I described how the kart was driving and he said, yes, definately too narrow in the rear track. And a couple of gratituous pics.
  22. Anyone tried Project Mu Club Racer pads? The present Carbotech XP10's have been great but I've been a bit slack and to be sure need a spare set of new pads, the Mu's are available locally the XP's aren't.
  23. Fixed
  24. The Nikon editor POS and they want to charge for it! Brace is fine, space limited on top and the front X brace had to go forward a bit to clear the engine without bowing the brace too much. The bracket goes down the side of the tower and is bolted there too. So bolted 90 degrees to each other, much stronger than the usual flat ones that only sit on top and even use rod ends which allow movement duh. Has a total of 8 bolts, was a nightmare to make due to it having to sit flush at all bolting points with zero clearance.
  25. A couple more, shifter bits will get a cover eventually, drivers footwell.
