  1. We all have secrets, Benny Boy Shan, you might need to be quick, I've had few inquiries about the 1/2 from others. MaygZ
  2. Benny Boy, just made it I knew it wouldn't take long for it to hit the forum. Well done little bro' MaygZ
  3. Me too. Don't call Lurch. Call me. Call me now ...... MaygZ
  4. I have a half cut that you are welcome to come and cutoff what you need. Give me a call on O4I99sevenseven 44 seven MaygZ
  5. I would be VERY interested in hearing more about your scavenging system. This is how I was always told true 'extractors' should work, but the extra expertise and cost was prohibitive. I was told that therefore 'headers' were built. I have always been confused that they now seem to be interchangeable terms. Equal length tubes give a minor extractive effect, but nothing like properly calculated and built 'extractors' that scavenge each pulse. I hope the cost isn't too high. Please do discuss with your man the costs involved in running off a few sets. It may make your set a bit cheaper also. The Hornet is a road car, right?
  6. Chris, waiting for the photo of your severed arm
  7. Sulio, just go and pick it up! You've got 2 weeks to get it on the road. Should be easy for you. It's not your first. Race Ya!!??
  8. OK, don't hump my leg though.
  9. In the Lancefield Collection (13 Zeds in a paddock) thread, John Sirpent took a number of photos. Photo #7 is the anniversary model of which I speak. I'm afraid that I don't have the skills to move it to here.
  10. Set of triples would be nice?? Have fun. Not sure that God has ever been to Florida, too many old people, smells like cabbage.
  11. Scoota did you hear the voice?? What else does it say to you? Does it ever call you a d%^khead!!? Don't listen to the voices, Don't listen to the voices, Don't listen to the voices, Don't listen to the voices, Don't listen to the voices, ...... I found this and thought it might be helpful. I confess that I failed to check the information against every car in every market to ensure the accuracy of the information. Feel free to list each vehicle that this information doesn't apply to, so that people can carry that list around in their heads. Should make for a fascinating thread! I apologise for all the angst that I have caused. I realise that this information of varying accuracy may haunt each of you and that realisation makes me sad. Hang on a second .... no it wont .... I don't care. PS: I have a splitting headache, that I've had for a couple of days now, so you can all go and get ...... a new Zed.
  12. I have been driving (legally) for over 3 decades. One would think I would have noticed the little secret on my dash that was staring me right in the face the whole time. I didn't and I bet you probably haven't either. Quick question, what side of your car is your petrol tank? If you are anything like me, you probably can't remember right away. My solution is to uncomfortably stick my head out the window, strain my neck and look. If you don't do this in your own car you definitely have done it in a borrowed or rental car. Well ladies and gentlemen, I'm going to share with you my little secret so you will no longer look like Ace Ventura on your way to the petrol station or put your neck at risk of discomfort or injury. If you look at your petrol gauge, you will see a small icon of a petrol pump. The handle of the petrol pump will extend out on either the left or right side of the pump. If your tank is on the left, the handle will be on the left. If your tank is on the right, the handle will be on the right. It is that simple! I don't know how you feel right now but when I found out this morning I felt cheated! Why don't the dealers share such important information with car buyers? I don't understand why this isn't in the owner's manual? I don't get why any mechanic I have ever been too or know has even thought of mentioning this to me? The only possible explanation can be that all these people probably don't even know! Go out and share the worlds best kept car secret with your friends as this information is way too important to be kept secret.
  13. Welcome and good luck. The 240 is rare girl these days. The 260 is getting that way, but they turn up every now and then. Just promise me you won't wimp out and go 2+2!!
  14. I have seen a 25th anniversay model. Lancefield John has one. They look for all purposes a 240Z but have a special bonnet badge. I think (read don't really know) they were released in about 1979, so they obviously refer to an anniversary of something other than the first 240z release. It might be the relaese of the 2000 sports (in-line engine??). Someone will know. The badge is round and has 25th Anniversary written in the middle with leaved branches running from the bottom around the edges. The badge (from memory) is silver- which would make sense as a 25th anniversary is a silver anniversary. I can't find much info on the webby thing. I found 2 cars sold by Shannons that are described as " remanufactured 25th anniversary..' models but doesn't provide any details of when it was remanufactured or how.
  15. Sounds like the 25th Anniversary car. The factory restored original 240s and sold them.
  16. Have a look at Photomotive. He's a member on this forum (sorry I can't remember his name). The photos on his web site look very impressive. I just remembered: It's Stivva, check his posts

    Z Book

That's where I got my copies. Bought on line and they arrived in Melbourne a couple of days later. Very good service and about the cheapest I could find.
  19. Little pictures aren't easy to see, but it doesn't look bad at all. Have you had a quote for it to be repaired? That would then give an idea of value. then like all Zeds; it's heart v head (wallet!!)
  20. I may be living down at Bairnsdale by the 23rd. If not I could meet someone on the Western Hwy somewhere??
  21. I think I might be on my own here, ... but I think it's time to move on. You still have the 240Z with which you can build new memories and, not knowing your current circumstances, new girlfriends (if required). I'm also not a fan of the z32, but you have all the parts to build a nice 260 coupe!! Or of course you could purchase an interesting daily, while you build the 240! This is the way I would go. Just my 2 cents. MaygZ
  22.
