  10. I'd have to agree with you, also if Auszcar was like this (post counts, locked sections) when I was looking to join it would have put me off, clubs/forums can be very odd places for non regulars. I like the way everything and everyone is accessable on this forum and thats our biggest drawcard I believe. I've been a member on here now for many years and this is the first time I can recall this happening, hopefully first and last! Is all the extra security worth it at the cost of potential new members :-\ There's always a few dirtbags that spoil it for the rest of us!
  11. The intake looks very well done. What color will you go with for the body? I love the factory blue on the left fender
  12. That sucks Pete, the forum will be a great asset I'm sure if everyone keeps an ear to the ground something will pop up eventually.
  13. I entered today, so I'll see all you guys out there tomorrow
  14. Hey Lgee, Is it true Rota are going to make these Watanabe lookalikes and will they be available here?
  15. Thanks Aiden, I love the Spirit Garage ZG as well. I'll still be dreaming for a while as the parts aren't ready to be shipped just yet, Also to start with I won't be running flares cause my 16x8's with 225's won't be up to filling out those gaurds I could run spacers but they wouldn't inspire confidence on track!
  16. When is the cut off for entries? I may do the Saturday and just take some passengers around. The weather looks heaps better too! Anyone else wanna join in the fun?
  17. Rally clock with ocillator! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250850227955&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT
  18. I have run KYB Excel-G which were great(cheap) with 220lb lowered king springs, Monroe gas... Horrible!, Koni reds which don't last very long and had to be removed to adjust, and KYB AGX 4way adjustable which I have in now. They are great and I will keep using these from now on only downside is they require spacers and a larger hole in the strut top hat, so not a bolt in change over. I'd say go with the Excel-g's they'll go straight in and be great bang for buck. You'll have to remove the gauges from the dash and undo the screws for the facia, this will enable you to check the faces and the lenses. To get to mine I pull out the glovebox and get access to the back of the dash that way, there will be little brackets on each gauge you'll have to undo. I'd like to hear how you go with the rubber kits I'll probably have to do this down the track
  19. Hmmm...... It's much more fun racing with other zeds, from the sounds of it not many have actually entered. Might save brakes and tires for the island instead.
  20. Who's actually entered for this and on what day? So far I can only see Gordon as confirmed, I might enter tonight but the weather looks a bit shabby.....
  21. Hey Mick, nice ride. With the gauges they have removable face plates witch are easily bent, especially when cleaning. They could be touching the needles stopping them from moving, hopefully it as easy as pulling them apart and bending the plates back slightly. I'd recommend kyb gas inserts over koni classics, pretty sure Warren at all Zparts stocks these. They are cheap and very good. Be warned with track days, they are very addictive! Best of luck, Gareth.
  22. Wow that's a huge snail you're a wizard Peter, these a things average people wish they could do and you do it In a day! I take it this will be a track pig, nothing below 4,000rpm..... What sort of work have you done to the donk and what's redline? I'll be the first to ask for a video when this is up and running
  23. I run a later model "k" r180 from a Nissan gazelle. These had cv's also, the diff centre is 115mm instead of the early style 110mm. I sourced a new torsen LSD and fitted old r180 bolt in flanges, then just ran the standard half shafts. Standard half shafts will fit, it's the output flanges from the diff that will be the hard part. I think they may have a different spline count to standard Datsun ones....
