  1. Whoops! I thought you already had the link, I've tried searching numerous things on hybridz and find it very time consuming to get what your looking for. Thanks anyway though
  2. Hey John, good to see it's all falling into place nicely. You mention the super charger air intake is coming in from the back of the engine, can you run your it straight into the vented cowl where the windscreen wiper motor sits? It should give you a little more room to mount the motor further back and you'd be getting nice cool air.
  3. Sad news, our thoughts are with your family.
  4. I'm feeling lazy, do you have the link
  5. I might take you up on the offer mate. My painter wants a look as he also does some fibreglass work too. Just a bummer cause we are painting the new bits this weekend
  6. Got the type 'B' front spoiler today, complete with eight cracks :'( It has the stifness of Rolf Harris' wobbleboard and looks to be pretty much useless. I have shipping insurance so hopefully I'll get my money back, but I'd rather have the spoiler
  7. Hey Peter, if all else fails could you take the pinon to a machinist and get it turned down to a 28mm shaft to suit the readily available bearing?
  8. Good job mate, I'd like to see plenty of your top notch pic posted up when it's all painted. I got a very good 2nd hand centre console from eBay 12mnths ago. I bought a rough one and it was shagged so spend the extra $ on a good one, it'll compoets the interior nicely.
  9. I've got that 4kg billet flywheel. It's mentioned on hybridz as being exactly the same as the big brand flywheels. It was balanced perfectly and hasn't missed a beat. Race proven shifting all day at 7,000 rpm and above
  10. There seems to be zero tyre to guard clearance, that could be the biggest problem. In the pics it's a bit hard to tell but it looks as if the front air dam isn't the same depth as the sil panels. I think it looks a few inches higher than the sills when side on. If you look at the door area it's fairly low, but from front on it's like a 4wd. What is the grille made of?
  11. Cool looking drift/time attack Z I dont think it's the most beautiful ever but it's damn nice for a race car..... http://www.driftworks.com/2011/04/is-this-the-most-beautiful-drift-car-ever/
  12. Mark, I'm very sorry mate. I completely forgot to reply to your message. I'll PM you about that in a few days. SOLD! Providing Dale wants it
  13. The back mounting lip was a little out for my car thats why I had the sika flex as a spacer.
  14. Hey guys, I have a rare imported JDM chin spoiler for sale. In good used condition, some stone chips. $100 Pick up only.
  15. Hey Tim, should do the trick. Did you get the front pieces made up too, triangular section where the t/c rods attach? Len Brennan put captive nuts and reinforcing in his rails, then fitted a removable cross brace just behind the bell housing to eliminate twisting of the chassis. The new GTR's have a similar setup apparently.
  16. It definately looks like an R200 to me, has extended castings around the studs on the rear casing. R180 has a flat rear casing and is a lot smaller
  17. I tried sparco's and they weren't as comfortable & more expensive. The cobra's have been great, they are made of a much harder wearing material and have extra heavy duty material on the shoulder and hip edges where they wear the most. I definately recommend them. I tried the Suzuka but had to go to a large size and then the shoulders hit the doors. I'm 6ft3, 100kg's and fit the standard size Monaco pro, it's fairly snug on the hips but that's the whole point I think. Revolution race gear sells them and they have test seats on display for you to sit in. I found these to be the widest seat shoulders I could fit without having to offset the seat a fair way towards the tunnel.
  18. Thanks Pete. It's all pretty slow going at the moment.
  19. Off with the drivers door today and up to 'Lurch's one stop datsun shop' for repairs to the door skin and frame, it doesn't look too bad but the picture is very deceiving. Also going to get rid of the door mirror as I have the fender type fitted. Whoa those doors have quite a bit of weight in them Maybe I sould remove the passenger side too..... Thats gotta help the lap times! Still waiting to work out paint shedule for the G-nose, I'll have to do the doors, maybe quarters too. I'm a little bit bummed that it's been on blocks for six weeks, itching to give it a loooong drive and hear it singing at 7k. Think I might have Z withdrawals.....
  20. I may be wrong but I was woried if 0.5mm each side is enough clearance, do they flex under heavy load? What if the disc warps? So i machined mine slightly larger. The RX7 pads will be deeper again than the hilux ones, if it's just for road use GSL rallysport have an A1R pad that will be more than up to the task. I got my braided lines made up at a local brake shop in Melbourne, they also did slightly longer braided lines for my bro's 1600 for $40. Maybe try going in with an example and see how much they charge.
  21. Must be good cotton wool, cause they've been on for 4yrs and had a thrashing . I only replaced the standard front rubber z lines, I reused the steel lines from the strut to the calipers. I just took the old hoses in and the made them on the spot. $196 for two lines
  22. Looks tuff Stiva Thats some huge offset! Have you had any luck increasing the guard clearance when turning?
  23. You may want to check the caliper groove size, from memory it's 22mm and the magna discs are 23mm so I had to machine the caliper groove wider. You can also machine a spacer up to fit in-between the two halves. These were my costs, Magna rotors new are $65, $30 for seal kit, $35 for braided lines, 2nd hand calipers $120. Most expensive was the project mu pads but they are fantastic! Your right about pads, the only options are 4wd ones and they aren't the best. I used rx7 pads as per the s13 caliper but you have to drill new pin retainer holes(no hard). You get a bigger pad area with these too. Tir33d, Try GSL rally sport in qld, they are really helpful and he told me about the pad mod. They make pads as well and will do one to suit your application. They have a similar compound to the project mu's that's suitable for street/track, I've tried this but wasn't up to track days for me. Think they were round $140 Inc post.
  24. Yay! At least collimgwood lost
  25. Looks nice and straight Linton! I used 'flex aid' on my old urethane front spoiler and it never cracked, might be an idea for the Fibreglass one if you haven't Already thought of it... Have you figured out the paint code yet?
