Shiny! Looks good. I'm not sure bout goodyears but I used to run Pirelli P6000's when mine was more of a road car. They had excellent wet and dry grip and wore very well, they weren't too pricey either.
Are you going to clear coat the rims? If not, There's a great metal polish I use on my radiator called 'Flitz' it's heaps better than autosol and lasts much longer. It was recommended by a metal polisher.
I still have mine but it's a bit modified now. I sold my first car a blue datsun 1600 to buy the Z. It was all original, had been in storage for 12 years, original radio, white wall tyres.
Here's an old pic, had the Z for 12months by then.
KYB rears on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-240z-260z-Rear-Strut-Gas-Cartridges-KYB-NEW-/220846439761?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item336b793d51
Thanks D!
Ash, I have seen Sinisha's and I like it. I just thought it was a little too low for me, I've already ordered the type 'a' anyway. But thanks.
I have 12+8's on vented magna rotors, you'll need 260z hubs with this setup to get the caliper centred. I have konig rewinds 16x8 0offset and have 2-4mm clearance. My cars is on blocks atm 2hrs out of melb.
Hehehe, yeah. That's what I asked Jesse to do so hopefully I'll hear back soon.
Do you know of any type of quick trelease system? I have seen some circular steel ones that you unlock with a flat blade screw driver......
Do you want to sell it to me? Lol.
I have spoken to ZCCJDM, but that type looks as if it would sit lower and further forward. I think the type 'a' is a bit better looking personally.
Thanks craig, I have coil overs so I can raise the ride height if needed, I was also tossing up the idea of making it quick release and would probably run it for events and track days. How do you go clearance wise with normal road driving Craig?
Hey guys, I'm trying to find more info and a supplier for a G-nose front spoiler. I'm after the one that is part of the type 'A' works kit as pictured below. I'm sure it's only produced in japan.
Hey Ash, I'm interested. Will it have enough grunt for my L28 with a comp ratio of 9.8:1? I have a gear reduction starter. Also can I get an extra charge kit separate? So two charge kits and a battery. Cheers, Gareth.
Yeah, thanks Ben
What offset are your new wheels stiv? I have a similar problem but with over 3degrees neg camber and 225/50/16 it kinda expected. I rolled the guard lips and shaved inner edges of valance and spoilers, that seemed to fix it.
I'm looking at getting a set from ZCCJDM in the next few weeks. Anyone else run these? Good enough for Jon siddins and look very well made. Might be able to combine shipping.....
Could a small birds mouth or 'v' shape be cut into the backside to give the bar clearance? Similar mod to what Dave and Craig did on their power steering conversion.
Haven't fitted them yet, still going with G-nose. I'll get lurch to weld them in when he does a few other bits. They look like a well made piece, very solid.
I have 4way adjustable kyb's in front and koni reds in the back, they seem upto the task. The red are a pia to adjust.
What is the reason for the spring rates being so close, I'd always heard zed's liked hard front and very soft rear for ideal setup.
