  2. A thought... Are you using an after market steering wheel....? I had a similar problem with one of my cars, the boss interfered with the indicator control mechanism causing an earth and blown fuse
  3. So did you sort the problem with the blown fuses???
  4. +1 $100k new .......> $19k to $25k .... Hate to say it.... better off with a commodore / falcon / camry with the new family
  5. Does your motor run a viscous coupling fan.... This maybe the problem or your water pump
  6. Check through some of the car Mags... Street Machine, Street Fords / Commodores etc, theres a company that runs an add that sells the product, I cant recall the name at the moment

    Trim Clips

If youve got an old one handy measure it up... rare spares carry some similar try scotts old auto rubber or steves auto rubber if not ask them they will usually will have a contact supplier
  14. You might like to look into one of these...some agree others not.....
  15. Ive heard of them being used and believe they work... Im sure a new member here bought his car that had them on it ??
  16. I make it $510 and some change.....
  17. Good Luck..a lot of work A 260z....Muscle Car feel?
  18. I'm inclined to think the cost of restoring / maintaining these cars has become almost prohibitive for the average person...especially if unskilled and need to pay someone to do the doing... We all know if we buy a shi!!er for say $5k then spend at least another $15 to $20k depending on rust and other variables, parts if you can find them or ex USA at a premium depending on the exchange rate at the time makes them an expensive ongoing liability ( depending on your point of view ) especially when you get married have kids, mortgage to pay etc....sadly commodores, falcons and the like are an attractive, usually trouble free 4 plus seat option for around the same cost Unfortunately Insurance company's by and large tending to write them off after a crash quicker than sneeze makes them even less attractive to hang onto Imho
  19. If you sell your car as a going concern in QLD it will still obviously be inspected, but as its already QLD approved it will just be a roadworthy for transfer, so no probs there and by far the easiest solution. However, I take it you have the relevant paperwork to go with each signed off item / mod / conversion, this is proof that a certified engineer had inspected and passed the mods on the same model car, youll find the RTA in each state will have a list of selected engineers you can have a chat with....most regs are the same Aus wide with a few minor variations here and there, its a case of doing some homework........or you could just tell them its a 5Lt
  20. Perhaps......... it may be a waste of talent / money, but it did win the RIDLER..........
  21. I thought the Tax Department, Federal Police and the Yippy Happy Weed Brigade had raided his house seized his assets issued him with a hoon infringement notice and fined him a week end with Jane......
  22. What did you get for it.....
  23. Ahhhh yes" I always knew as the supply of 240 / 260's dry up the 280's will become sought after...good to see.....at last If its true.....
