  1. Hello and Welcome Another 280zx owner, Excellent!! If its a 79, the cover will have two plastic stalks that push in to recievers , due to its age they may and more than likely will snap when you attempt to remove it, but can be replaced or repaired However yours looks like a series 11 Allzed will have most if not all the parts you need, NOS and GSH @ 0410549070 Cheers
  2. Gold looks good on Volvos, Mercs and tank Fairlanes, not too sure about a trick and slick Z car

  6. Or you could wander down to your local Auto Pro / Repco and buy some aerosol carby and throttle body cleaner for about $8 bucks
  7. Funny though things could have been very very different when Holden successfully used Nissans inline 3 lt six and later the turbo version of the same engine for the VL Commodore @ 1986 to 1988 while they re-engineered the V8 to use unleaded fuel Like Leyland with the Buick 3.5 Lt, Holden bought the patent for the Buick 3.8 Lt, cheap to make, light weight and very fuel efficient with EFI
  8. The r34 skyline is hardly a three door hatch in Z style configuration and is definately a different animal albeit as quick as lightening
  9. The problem with many new car designs is that most of the car makers follow a trend of what is percieved to be sellable to the masses / market acceptance / style and cost efficient Since the late 80's many car makers have copied each other in one way shape or form with many using the same basic platform design and even parts sharing to a degree, of course a lot of car makers are owned by the same parent company so its logical to do so, especially when you consider its costs zillions to design and fab new models Sure the 370 has some improvements as do all " new models ", with some extra fruit, a few extra pony's, new lights, some gadgets etc which usually amounts to an extra arm and a leg and $$$$$$$$$$$$ for the joy of owning one The problem I have is that they look very similar in style and shape to some Porsche's, and Audi's and are easily mistaken for one of these at a first look until you read the badge unlike the earlier designs which were very individual and styled cars But thats progress, my thoughts, if you look at the Chrysler crossfire design, this is what I think a modern Z should look like, or you can have one that loses its roof Cheers

  18. So you've answered your own question?? You asked about synthetic and you got your answer
  19. Mineral oils break down very quickly 10w 30 or 10w 40 full synthetic gives very good performance across a wide operating heat range, and is especially good on cold morning starts for engine lube run up 20w 20 through to 20w 50 is just as good, but a lot slower to pump up in very cold climates or snow In some instances lube changes can now be pushed out to 15000 ks, not that I agree with that Cheers
  20. Very Nice Great looking car, great looking wheels, very effective
