  1. Same with me have everything from hoarding, But where is it when you need it??
  2. Geez you got everything
  3. A schneider cam for a start is made up of a compound of largely sinterd iron not steel as the genuine items are hardened an solid, here is the scenario, I do not use those cams they are soft not treated, wear out have impurities in the castings, which block oil galleries, they twist wear, and break and are not of the grinds specified on the sheets of cam timing specs they produce to be, people may disput this but proof is many poodings that have failed , Nytriding these cams is even worse as it weekens them further, As typical of all nissan engine components they are of good steel forgings
  4. Its little things like that which are hard to find and hold things up , you might have to put a complete 2nd hand unit in , you have windsay at the z shop just down the road from you im sure he would have one.
  5. They are the best rear control arm sets ive seen so far, I did have plans to fabricate my own but ,for affordability of the tecno toy arms and the time it would take to make I just purched a set out right, well done tho very nice workmanship.
  6. didnt even think to ask what car which efi system we are talking about,??
  7. thats not a bad earth problem that is a voltage leak to earth , if resistence is that high, voltage leaking through a sensor, either a faulty sensor or a wire incorrectly fitted, put your meter on voltage turn on ignition, put one lead in raditor coolant other lead to earth should not read any voltage if it does read you have a faulty coolant temp sensor , or keep disconnecting engine sensors including injectors one at a time untill the resistence value drops that will aid in isolating your voltage leak, voltage leaking through a sensor into the cooling system will corrode everything eventually the water pump impeller blades will disapear and cause the engine to overheat causing a lot of head scratching, hope this helps cheers, Dazzed
  8. Craig, that is a 300 plus KMH at the Island now with that mod, Never ends does it? that vibration i would also be ckecking to see if the vibration caused areas in the body to crack or deform have a really good look and attend to them at the same time before they open up further. yYour car looks great and goes too, but in 1976 I dont think nissan would ever think that their cars would end up with 600hp V8 sprint car motors in them, in comparision that 2.6 litre is a lame donkey
  9. Why dont you just change the bearing ?
  10. I have heaps of them genuine brand new and old stock new and 2nd hand
  11. Good quote Craig
  12. Why not 300 its easy
  13. I see 300kph a held and maintained speed for a long distance not a blatt on a short straight once
  14. You cant be farkin serious are you? or are you? or am im totally stupid this comment is a joke right Peter? Or I miss the humurose side of this 280kmh , so when he crashed did he land on a ship in bass strait, would have saved him towing the car back to melbourne, just dock at the port of melbourne and drive off , I think you may be trying to convince readers that this is a normality, So lets all just go out a run 300 kph in our zeds EASY is this what you are saying? sure fark yeah why not hey Easy , WHERES THE MONEY ? WHERE IS THE MONEY , GIVE ME THE MONEY is what you should be saying, sometimes people chew of more than they can swalloW? WHAT track in australia has a long enough straight to safely allow a 280zx to maintain 300kay , Iaint gonna hold my breath thats for sure
  15. your fuel economy will probably be the same as a z31 now
  16. Your wife is gonna break your legs when she founds out how much this will cost, you will break your mortgage repayments , break your credit card limit, break your childrens trust in you when they have no school books and uniforms, If all of that is in order I guess then the only thing you could break is a world land speed record at Utah on the salt flats in a 280ZX
  17. they work very well on steet engine produce great low down mid range and top end power, little cramped in the bonnet department for filtration system
  18. Yes thats right track cars running under cams regs must have this fitted but not many do, Cams released a diagram of a typical fuel pump cut out circuit and only 1 relay typical 12 volt relay that triggers of the starter and continues to run of oil sender unit no ignition came into it, you can also have a override switch that allows you to run pump without the engine running or a switch to deactivate the pump at an time, manual overide also acts as a theft device and if for some reason your carbs flood you can control the pump operation or when servicing or for any other fuel problem that may arise it is a simple operation and dont need wiring everywhere must be fused also and easy to diagnose if an electrical malfunction arises, zeds are simple so keep it simple, I your just running carbs the pump is only low pressure lucky if it draws 2 amps so not really required to run 2 relays those taco relays will easily run a intank pick up pump and a bosch high flow efi pump in one, which are mostly on volvo saab mercs beemas etc and most have around 8 to 10 pins on them for switching inputs so you can do quite a bit with them just need to know how the circuitry through the relay works some have an externall diagram ,240z and 260z tachos are very sensitive to pick up fields . and interference could effect its accuracy or even damage
  19. I think most tachometric relays are for efi and dont take a dirrect current from the ignition coil , a very low voltage from the ecu triggers the relay, as the relay has a electro magnetic coil inside you may find direct current from a points ignition may damage the relay or effect your ignition system operation at low speeds the relay could flicker to the point of failing, a relay only requires low voltage and amperage as low as 1.5 amps to activate it and are designed to switch on at 350 rpm an switch off at 350 or just below, you will have to run an additional wire from the starter side of the ignition switch to activate the relay whilst cranking the engine,
  20. No you dont use a 280zx oil switch or Z31 look similar
  21. I thought thats what the idea was for ? its a good idea bit complicated much more simple ways to do it, with a 280zx oil sender if you loose oil pressure fuel pump stops ,but unless it is efi ,carbs will have to run out of fuel by this time damage to engine is done
  22. what does a tachometric fuel pump relay do ? I think you also need a different oil gauge sender unit , I think , what is all this for??
  23. I dig this car looks great I want one now
  24. Seems you have someone that fancies you simon ,latedateda, is Nismozed ahem you know
  25. shutup Daniel you know too much
