  1. does that mean that the exhausts ports are rescricted and require further work to enhance flow . Pete and to do so the head to be removed from the cylinder block once its just been fitted Is there a possibility that if the cylinder head is removed from the the cylinder block that a distortion in both the block an head may occure that cannot be reprodused as far as sealing goes ?
  2. anyway forget about the the zed the priorities is your wife and your nearly new born child your family is more important than a piece of metal , as you are expecting your second child / birth keep us in touch also she needs you . the zed will allways be there for another day. And its a funny thing about zed cars they just develope over time. Is baby come home in the Zed from the hospital ?, Mate take the Golf Im sure it will be more comfortable
  3. maybe after the engine has done a few thousand miles you could change your mind about that Re Mark ?
  4. Noted that not many early zeds have 5 stud wheels
  5. Thats a neat street zed Stephen I can understand you wanting to back behind the wheel of a zed again , You obviously know zeds well ,what are the chances of you purchasing your previous zed back to its rightful owner , to me looks like a well built car and we all know what they cost , if you dont want to build another maybe hunt your build down check its condition , as after 5 years it may have changed but you know the car and put a offer in you may never know.
  6. which type mikunis differ from weber an dellorto mikunis are very difficult to mount with weber type seals you can damage the bodies causing a lot of problems if you dont know what your doing as they are flush mount.
  7. there is a one way valve in line to stop vacuum leaking off but even if it wasnt there it would cause the pedal to sink but check make sure it is there as it should be. the valve is in line near the rh w.w washer jet, oh yeah what car is this we are talking about ?
  8. depending on the position of the rear callipers the callipers could be mounted on the wrong side with the bleeder valves at the lower part allowing a air pocket in the top of the piston if the callipers are mounted at the top in line with strut you will have to take the calliper off to bleed it .if thats not the problem you said a new master cylinder was fitted if the push rod in the booster came out upon removal of the master cylinder the compression rubber in the booster may have fallen into the bottom of the booster and you wont be able to retrieve it unless you split the booster or get another rubber from another booster and just leave the lost one in there it wont do anything, other than the push rod length in the booster is too long which means wrong master cylinder and if thats the case the the brake lines around wrong way fronts going to back an vice versa, I get this all the time Ben
  9. where did your new race car arrive from ??/
  10. I have a race sreet 240z this thing scares frightens me to buggery, Im a go karter from way back and built my own 240z this thing is only 2.8 L series but buzzes to 8500 rpm smoothly Tis awesome and standard nissan datsun parts and has been for over 20 years and it shows me up but it does a 1.10 @ winton , Calder !.11 sandown 1.27, 1st outright P.I out of 120 cars entered MSCA 2003 ten years ago wow must be getting old , but just like riding a pushbike you never forget and I still have the car from 1991 and only cost me a mere $ 120.000 today but i love it it flys and easy to drive and chicks stop me and comment on the car everyone stops and wants to talk too me about it , never been pulled over by police, people ask me how much if you were to sell it ? not for sale, I love my family and cant put a price on them but the next best thing i love is the beautiful style and the lovely chareristics of performance handelling and stopping powers the 240z deliveres and not to mention the personall fullfiment i obtain
  11. ok that makes sense now the power runs through the amp gauge if the amp gauge its highly likely reversing the battery polarity fried the gauge
