  1. sorry mate mine is stuffed i need one as well. first post updated.
  2. been there done exactly that though i just sold that exact setup of my 260z.would have been bolt up job.you bit late. though LSD diffs came to later Z31 like 88 model but are viscous type. earlier turbo Z31 zeds most came with open wheelers and very rare optioned for LSD diff. diff u can use from S12 Silvia/gazelle RS Four. R30-R31 jap import turbo skylines and Jap spec Z31 turbos equipped with LSD diff. the earlier models have the same spline count as the original uni type driveshaft. Fitting the dirveshafts u need to shorten them by certain amount. im sure my dribble and pics are somewhere on the forum or my gallery
  3. seats SOLD.
  4. Just make a new thread in general (it is a z car) or in off topic discussion. That has to keep the moderators happy.
  5. Loui dash has some damage since the accident. nothing big but some of the texture coating got damaged since being thrown around and being rough while i was removing the gauges. so needs little bit TLC and to be recoated. see my gallery or old post when i repaired the dash than u know what i mean. Whittie No was running stock Rx7 at front with custom springs with bmw inserts at the rear. see my build thread or gallery. also SOLD pending payment. i think i replied to most PM. if not just send me a slap. so far Seats sold Pending payment Suspension, diff, brakes, pedal box cv driveshafts etc.... sold pending payment first post updated and few things added.
  6. mine prob be ready in 2 years but u will have to save big kudos. even than i prob still say no. though may be tempted to do one for someone for reasonable price once mine is finished and sorted.
  7. this is the only shot i got on the PC. i will take pic of them outside the car on the weekend. http://www.viczcar.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=lastupby&cat=0&pos=9&uid=205

SOLD NARDI leather steering wheel with boss kit with matching pedals $250 whats left of the whole car plus lot of other 2+2 parts just ask what u may need and i get back to you. as I'm fairly busy be patient with my slow response. (work 9-5, than work some more till 9 than if im not dead by that time ill try get some pics and answer q's. weekends are just as bad) ....... ill try my best. some stuff will also end up on ebay so keep an eye on that too. most of the stuff will be for sale here till I or missus get time to take pics and whack it on ebay than whatever it goes for it goes. local peeps can pm me and ill forward my number to check the bits and pieces out. i need the space and don't want to look at the wreck anymore as it breaks my heart. so the quicker its all gone the better for indicative pics check my gallery. if not happy with them ill take pics and post them up as soon as i can.
  9. welcome from another south ozzy as well. at least we have clean air and blue sky.
  10. in my opinion and from my experiences with people i know that bought cars from dealers the warranty ain't worth the paper they written on. I realy don't think its by Nissan dealership so that warranty is actualy worth something. the so called "dodgey" dealers (they all dodgey unless backed up by factory even then u can't be so sure) and they warranties. most of the work is done by the inhouse mechanic.Unless they are proper importer and have a good name for their repairs i really wouldn't bother. even so they will dodge the repairs to be as cheap and nasty as possible and the car will be more and more of a lemon. if we me (as i always do) to save bit of cash is to piss the warranty off (usualy worth between 500 to 1000 on the cars price) and do the repairs urself or take it to a Z expert. cause that will be the case anyways. there are a lot of catches with those warranties. read it carefully.
  11. Mate that aint bad at all. Can hardly notice the damage. I expected the whole arse end being pushed to look like a 2 seater. Dont wreck that she is definetly still drivable and repairable.dont let it go to waste.
  12. got to be pissed about it though. i'm still battling with mine for a payout. it has escalated for courts to figure it out. though i agree with MaygZ on time to move on. concentrate on the 240z. what u get is best left to you. You best know your lifestyle and mechanical ability to get the right car. if u got a decision between few cars post it up for other peeps opinions to make you decision making bit easier. now bit of defence for the Z32. Was the same though wouldn't get a z32 unless i just want to look at it. I don't mind the look of z32 its a good looking car. it is big but if u think its ugly u got your head stuck in the sand sorry. due to my unfortunate events with 260z and long built time for the 240z i had to get back into a zed car to keep me sane. had my suzuki gti up on the advertising to swap for anything rear wheel and Nissan.. hoping ill get some bites for a 280zx or Z31 300zx as thats all i could afford after selling the Gti. Had heaps of wierd offers but managed to sell it outright. so had measly 2.5k to buy a z or zx. woopdie doo. found a 2+2 260z with bit of work for 3.5k but no time for project. found a z31 manual but got sold by the time i sold my Gti. so was getting bit desperate and started expanding into VL calais but still wanted a Z car. searched on google (getting very desperate) and found a Z32 TT on a 300zx forum. though again love the look of them but horror stories of unreliability and difficulty to work on put me off. but kept researching all the info i could find on z32. it grew on me and i bought it after several sleepless nites. it needed some work as it had a bit of front bingle with a gutter and some poor guys fence. so the price was good and the work seemed fairly straight forward. (yep i get this fixed in 4hrs, was the idea) anyway 20Hrs of work it was all on the road (cause i wanted to get it done bit better than anticipated). it is daunting to work on Z32 but once u work it out its no harder than my S14. its just ur average grease monkey is used to Holden Red motors and have no sense of logic. yes its cramped but it take no time to get to most parts u need to look at. I got the rad out in 2min. takes me about 30min and lot of cursing on the s14. Mine is a 89 jap import 2+2 Twin Turbo Targa Manual in midnight blue with blue interior (apparently very hard to find and sought after combo, no big deal to me) as a car the Z32 is brilliant. love the drive, love the torque and power.no need for high rpm. Most times to keep up with relatively quick traffic i hardly go over 2500rpm. Full electrics at ur fingertips. You mash the pedal down u will hit the 100km in less than 5sec from standing still. though mines got few mods and has about 240kw@rw and its probably around bit quicker than 5sec that stock TT managed to do. still has the feel of the annoyance of the S30. like dodgey clocks, fume issues LOL it is a Z car. feels like my 260z just bit bigger in the arse end. driving it for 2 weeks with no mayor issues to report. starts and runs well and it was owned by a younger chap that didn't drive it like Mrs Daisy. i don't regret the decisions in buying it , parts are relatively cheap and easy to come by (front bar $110, stock twin intercooler kit $50 with pipes) . information on problems is well documented and relatively easy to fix. if u going to some shop and not to a z32 expert u be slugged. to me i can do 99% myself so not too fussed. even if u little bit mechanically minded and can follow instructions u can fix 90% of the Z32 problems yourself. oh yeah if u use the right foot be prepared to fill the 76L tank very regularly. and people think this is ugly??? never heard anyone yet say that to me but stares and thumbs up on daily basis. not bad for total price of 3.4K as it stands. and thats with 3 months rego. do the rims look familiar? I just realised something u got urs smack at the back and mine at the front. there u go out of two we can get one complete one. post some pics lets see how bad it is.
  13. here is a pic i found floating on my work pc from my S1 240z #227 with the nissan plugs where the fender mirrors were. i can't measure it till the weekend.
  14. got mine as well yesterday finally. bit thin LOL
  15. i think i may have a 3 piece duck spoiler for 280zx looks similar to the pic bellow. it needs bit of cleaning PM me if interested and for more details.
  16. looking very good Tim. great job. welds look pretty damn good. new mig and tig is on my shoping list
  17. u got PM mate hope its still for sale. Good luck.
  18. RB30X RE:Vents I should have a set (somewhere buried in the z .) if u still chasing them up. Also got a cut out of the vent humps rear half of the bonnet. I was going to craft it into non vented bonnet on my 260z but managed to pick a complete one with vents than changed my mind.Than when i bought the S1 i picked up a vented bonnet to go on my 72. now i'm after a non vented one for the 70 one. So Salty. i don't have a bonnet to trade as i need my vented one.
  19. Cool another South Ozzie and great work on pinching one zed back to our side. +1 for wheels, love the hurricane style wheels look tough. did Regency give u any grief at the inspection? Doesn't seem like it, so they must have been in good mood.
  20. hey Salty ill be interested in non vented bonnet if u got one for sale. need it for my S1. got a vented one for the 72.
  21. may have some light on this. OK Pulsars..... not POOLSARS... we had a 99 Pulsar Plus 1.6 manual with few mods. like JDM grill fog lights power windows 16" wheels and rear apexi muffler. car looked awsome. only done 80k km great to drive around city. he had made 19k on it in 2 years besides replacing the battery the car was faultless. though gutless around hills and lightly loaded. done approx 8-9l per 100km. we sold it to the first guy that came to see it. it was low kms for its time and we were asking a fair bit more than the rest. but sold it still see the car around with same owner so looks like he still enjoys it. just before my 260z accident i was driving a 93 e36 318i bmw. great car to drive economy wasnt bad. if u get a good one its be trouble free as long as u stay away from auto and replace the damn alternator. if alternator is on the way out u get all sort of problems not pointing to alternator. LOL. parts were reasonable but insurance was a killer. I used to drive a 1990 Pintara front wheel CA20 bak in the days of P plates never missed a beat. Pintara TRX the top of line model looks cool and are very cheap around 2-3 K when my Z was gone i needed exactly what u after. but in a hurry. my short list was for a budget that started from 1k and grew to 3k. 1.commonwhore ute : great for building the house 2. Cordia turbo 3.EXA ET turbo 4.calais VL turbo 5. Corrola SX 6. Celica SX 7. 300zx 8. sss bluebird 9.Pulsar sss or Q sr20 or cheap N15 10.280zx 11 Suzuki GTI 13. anything that was interesting sub 3k mark ended up finding a 94 suzuki GTI for 2100 from advertised 2900. books and reciepts, power windos and mirrors. nice racing seats. no power steer or A/C who needs it but its an awsome go-cart. fuel $35 for 2 weeks. or roughly 9L per 100 with heavy foot. insurance is cheap and parts are reasonable i had 3m "L" beams through it some 350kg its rattly etc... but 95% of the time i dont bother even locking it up....
  22. i was wondering what happened to issue #4. so it is still going to be delivered woohoo
  23. Just catchin up with the form and came accross this. Man u must been going through hell I wish all the best and speedy recovery for ur son. So did they figured out why he got sick etc...? Both missus and me are shaking from reading pg17 about your son. John all the best bro. Thinking of u and the little one and praying for quick recovery.
  24. just to add to Katokids post and hopefully clear things for oldboy. ive done this to my 260z with rx7 hubs. shortening the rack ends is failry straight forward on the subi. you unscrew them give it to machine shop and carton of beer they will shorten it and rethread it to lenght u want. than N12 Pulsar tie rod ends (from memory which is fading a bit) finishes the dilema. as for subi rack rotating the head around getting new pipes made up cost me about $30 from brake and suspension specialist. TIP dont bother ABS and the likes they wouldn't have a clue. more of the oldschool places that rebuild racks will be better help. or by a quality pipe bender and bend them up yourself.
