LS1 engine and 6 speed gearbox conversion for S30 models
RBZ 260 replied to RB30X's topic in Parts and Tools for Sale
Peter is right Mick. not ls1. from memory i think its gen4. 6L like RB30X sugested. i did see the car in person and got few pics of it. fits nicely very nice neat job..... credit to the owner. now for those that like chevy in their z this looks like a very easy way out. pending price i guess. think of it as 1 weekends work instant power increase. good luck with the sale. -
pm me how much u want for those wheels also what other spare parts u may have. ie electric/optic/ pneumatic and technic pieces prob send me a pic than i can circle what i need. hihihi also if u need anything just send me a pm. hmmm mate u must be my long lost twin or something LOL same idea here.

Awsome work Dave as usual. love the door trims and diamond pattern on tunnel etc..... man i cant wait to start working on my 240z.

i knew i should have got a nitro off road instead of the s15 bodied RC nitro car. has impressive specs LOL 2spd gearbox and AWD with rear disc brake and beefed up engine. still have issues controlling it too quick for me. looking for a 240z body "cheap" 1/10 scale. as for technic sets got few pneumatic and electric sets. got the big chassis 1980 one with the boxer 4 and reclinable red seats wasnt complete got it cheap with box and instructions. need to source the wheels and one hose. but for $20 cant complain. they sell on evil bay over $150 with box and instructions. also got few helicopters planes, buggies, go carts motorbikes etc.... too much. i recon i got over 500 sets in total plus about 10kg of loose parts missus thretening to sell if we get short with the house build. NOOOOOO LOL... good thing about lego it hold its value quite well. sells well on ebay too. grr u had to post that didnt u LOL...

Hehe Sydney mike stay away from evil bay it will quickly make u broke zedman240 yeah good source is it good price? Lol I got quite a few sources but price is also very high. I got quite few early technic sets and looking out for other sets or parts to complete some of my collection. Though since the house building my nostalgia and cars are on backburner though in short time I managed to recollect all my childhood sets plus quite a few extra. Expecialy the more exy ones that parents couldn't afford. Gone so bad that a got the whole 1978-1990 classic space collection. Still in hunt for the hoppers good luck with the hunt

Good to see I'm not the only one after childhood toys that used to own. Though those higher end Tamiya rc I wasn't lucky enough to have them. I em chasing turbo hopper and super turbo hopper 86 to 88 models also collecting late 70s and 80s Lego and trying to find few other stuff like portable video games and dukes of hazzard slot cars if I see any of those tamiya I let you know.

My theory is he bought Sulios car. Why I say that. Well he had Sulios car to do work on it while he was OS and some comments he made about the car. Second Sulio selling his car shortly after he gets a depo from mysterious buyer and no more details. Than suddenly lurch is clearing his stuff out. This is my theory from putting few posts together. Lurch buying a 370z nah he loves his s30s too much to be selling it for new model he rather have the s30. And I know he likes Sulios a fair bit than again who doesn't . So I guess we find out who's right soonish. Till then let's have some more theories.

Im not sure how many of u guys tried selling/buying a car recently but the spam u get through carsales and cardomain is nuts. A someone selling a car 50% cheaper or some clown offering more than what u after via paypal. Got to agree with above align the bastards up and shoot them I'll also add along with dumbarses fallin for it. The pm or email ones are norm these days easy fix "delete" button works well -
280zx rear calipers, front spoiler, adelaide
RBZ 260 replied to Pedro's topic in Parts and Tools for Sale
interested in spoiler. but need to see the pic. -
Mine was done in the shed 7m x 7.5m at my parents place. has a decent size bench and lot of large tools ie bench drill, grinder, press etc.. But still it's bit small. Like said above never big enough. Now building a new one at my own place and biggest council will allow me to have was 11.5m x 7m x 3m high walls. Planing to have a spray booth and hoist. Sobprob fit 3 cars and work area. And yes still think could be bigger lol Really dimmension u mention should be sufficient as work area. But u have to store parts elsewhere.
-
hey if i sell u my bits it be bolt up too how? well i allready done all the work just like that electric one that the guy did and wants a small fortune for it. i sure cant afford it and if i could i rather spend it on other go fast bits, but thats me. but i may have a closer look into it for the 240z if there is simpler cheaper alternative that i can put together than the subi stuff till than good luck.
-
right one on mine is good. the left one well bit squashed. lol i have a looksy for ya may have some floating around. 240/260z are same right?

for $2.3k i can have subi rack and all mods plus rb20det to go with it LOL... subframe mods are almost insignificant and fairly easy. proven on my Z. had subi rack head rotated 180deg new pipes made two dents made on the subframe for pipe nut to clear (not cuts just dents) and a slot on the right hand engine bracket. check my build thread. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,2720.0.html it felt good still feel the road wasnt too light. mine was from leanoe so it was bit more than 2.7 from lock to lock was like 29. so prob hunt down a rex or liberty one. use non hicas power pump ie RB30ET or any other nissan power steering pump. pressures are same and works a treat. i know what u mean 68GTCS but thats just Ford same as on my old 77 fairlane i used to have. its crap ( i can say that as i still own one and family is bit Ford freaks) also proven in frontal accident recently that the frame did not suffer any weakneses nor did the mod to the right engine mounting bracket. still sits perfect no damage to the subframe or the mounts.

+1 We won't ask how old hope u get lot of z presies

Wasn't there a red 240z in one of the crime shows recently? I think it was csi ny (or one of those spin offs I'm preety sure we had a post about it) Killer was driving a 240z and using it as bait to pick up his new victims
-
thats a not bad deal for a 2 seater at all. shouldn't have problems selling it. if only had room/time/$$ be perfect for transfering my stuff from the 2+2. now i wonder where are all those wanting a cheap two seater that they can work on gone....... good luck with sale Lurcheros, prob wont need it
-

-
thanks XA for so true and slightly disturbed words LOL. well we kinda agreed on the value. that part is over now just waiting for the dosh.... so still waiting. "not over till the fat lady sings" yeah got the muzzy. that be next project as soon as i get the s15 out of the shed. depending what the engineer says on how much extra Head F is to get a an efi twin turbo through roadworthy i may just drop the engine that it came with and get it regod. than may come back after to look at the engine upgrades once i sort out my 240z i realy want to get my 240z project started asap. I want to drive a Z not a suzuki LOL.

Regarding illegality of fender mirrors in SA. back in the 70 and 71 weren't illegal I had a chat with one of the senior guys at Nissan. I asked about fender mirrors on 240z. His reply was the early all early ones came with fender. But were very unpopular. Some customers didn't care some did. Like mr. C said they had options depending on customer. Some were fine with no extra cost to relocate to the doors and plugs on fenders. The ones that didn't like that option for xtra cost they would plate it under and respray the guards. So that mystery is solved. Though I think second half of 71 ADR plates started to appear and were in force Jan 72. Hence all early z don't have the ADR plate no polution gear etc... I enquired about this if car is pre 1/72 and cars without ADR plate u can legaly do few extra things like have a turbo timer. U can download the ADR PDF from the transport mob that states what each ADR number means in sa anyway there is also modification guideline what u allowed and what not to do. I'll try dig it out again and post links Back to my 227 sent email to my Nissan spare parts guru with list of parts I will need. So be interesting to see what's available and how much it is. As for location of mirrors I do want to install on fenders just not sure if jdm or the flappy chrome ones.
