  1. Or you could get a R30 Skyline (L24 EFi) Dizzy & coil from the wrecker for $100 & bolt it straight in...
  2. Yes I know about that one Bit out of the price range for most people though. FWIW TVR Racing in the UK had a special run of blocks cast so they could be safely taken out to 5.8ltrs(!) Carl Hansen uses one in his Tuscan in the Super GT series in NZ. I've seen this car run in the flesh - positively frightening http://www.powerupdates.com/clients/supergt/pages/a_standard.asp?cid=690739861&aid=493285243
  3. PM Ash (zr240) on this forum
  4. It's fair enough if you simply don’t have the time but, as long as you have a workshop manual, doing basic work on a Zed is very VERY easy! It makes you appreciate the cars to a whole new level /end rant.
  5. You've bought a Zed, yet your not doing the work on it yourself? No offfence, but your missing 1/2 the point of owning a Zed! They are not THAT hard to work on...
  6. Congrats on the purchase. Looks clean. So whens the 'Wildcat' headed, 5ltr Range Rover headed engine going in? IIRC this car was on Ebay a few months ago?
  7. Thanks. I'd forgotton it was airing this WE. Pity about my crappy connection...
  8. You’re stating 2 different things here. The first one (I assume by your vague description) is more of a characteristic of the Zed strut IRS - unless it is severe, you might just have to get used to it. The second one; might I suggest you check your rear Toe settings - too much toe out makes them feel unstable when the suspension is in motion.
  9. If you have the origanal factory damper inserts, you can refill them motorcycle fork oil or Auto Tran Fluid (ATF).
  10. I got the last lot for Rev. Dave for $260.
  11. And what is your RPM redline?
  12. C.A.R.

    Geabox oil

I (normally) use the Redline 'Light' 'Shock' oil. Suspended particles FTW! It's awesome stuff.
  13. It would help your sale if you included your LOCATION!!!
  14. What the hell do you mean by that comment!? Yes it is. The old track has been demolished to make way for the Yallourn open cut coal mine.
  15. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ue5JISl8VdI Compressed to hell, but you'll get the idea. Driver's will need big gonads to run fast at this track - check out the track drop-aways!
  16. Put me down as being there in spirit... :'(
  17. Can you please explain that comment better?
  18. Tripple carb or homemade manfold with motorcycle throttle boddies.
  19. Sadly Sul, I'd have no place to store one Bit rare over here too... After I clear the rest on the CC, I'm off car hunting - the 120Y just doesn't cut it An S14 S2 200SX is looking appealing
  20. Thanks for the help guys. I found a place in Waikiki yesterday, & I move in this morning - only a few blocks from the beach too! Word of mouth rocks!
  21. I've registed on there Sul, I just didn't want my first post to be: "Hi, I'm new on the forum. BTW does anyone know of somewhere I could live?" Dave, will do
  22. Hey all, To anyone who can assist, due to a change in circumstances, I am looking for permanent accommodation south of Freo. I'm currently in Kwinana & I'm working in the immediate area, though I am quite willing to go further Nth or Sth (as need be). I am willing to pay reasonable rent/board for a bedroom (or whatever) as long as it's warm, dry & secure. I am VERY clean & can keep to myself (if need be). I'm also gainfully employed (I'm a qualified Boilermaker) so paying rent/board WILL NOT be an issue. I can also help on your Zed if you have one! I NEED somewhere in the next few weeks, so if anyone knows of anything PLEASE contact me on: SMS or Call 04000 54572 or Lurch (at) ozdat.com (PS: I answer the phone as Locky). Thanks!
  23. Welcome
  24. Welcome! Make sure you come on the Appolo Bay cruise too!
