  1. Welcome Gary! Glad to have another Bus driver on board. The Bathurst FOSC event looked like a hoot. Plenty of Zeds competing as well. Try here: http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,1955.0.html for your RR panels. BTW, is this your car?:
  2. 5 Speed Gearbox's from: 280ZX 240/260Z 240K Skyline C210 Skyline R31 Skyline (Bellhouseing needs changing) S13/S14 Slivia/180SX (Bellhouseing needs changing) S1/2 Bluebird (S3/CA20 box's need the bellhousing changed) 200B 240/260/280C sedans These all fit, BUT they have different mounts & different internal ratio's & gear sizes. There may be a bit of mucking about getting them to fit. The only ones that WON'T be suitable are: R30 Skyline Stanza SSS Any of the Datsun 4-speed boxes. These are 'short' boxes & are not long enough. HTH
  3. ZOMG! Going for that 'matt' look, eh Ash...
  4. About $120 Joel, IIRC. Ask Alan or Frazer how much for cash He has various styles too. Just a tip, get your car lowered before you fit one...
  5. I wish you luck on your search...
  6. I'm currently doing my 280ZX rear disc brake conversion. Stay tuned for a step-by-step guide with pics...
  7. Nat0, there's a couple of those articles over on Ozdat
  8. A few pics from 'Spamaster' (least I think they are from him...). Below: Bruce Jnr. (This is was happens when you feed your child too much Pepsi)

  10. I believe Alfa Motorsport Fibreglass has them. http://www.motorsportfibreglass.com.au/
  11. This has gone on long enough. It's an embarrassment. If nothing is finalized but the end of the week (thats 5 working days) this thread WILL be locked. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  12. /Thread Hijack SWmotorsport has new steal Synchro Rings for $150ea (I know it sounds expensive but at least you can them). http://www.swmotorsport.com/index.html?lang=en-us&target=d151.html Rebuilding a 71B box is not difficult - but it helps if you have someone experienced in rebuilding them doing it with you. You don't need any special tools either. If you can get in touch with Mr Holmes he's the man to see, but if you can't I might be able to help with an alternative person...
  13. If you get stuck Joel, Email them to me & I'll upload them Lurch at ozdat.com And great Photo's Lui!
  14. Correction. 'Was' stuck 3rd. The pin that locates the selector slider on the shifter housing had come loose & fallen out. Obviously the circlip had come off & the pin rattled out I shoved a short screwdriver in the hole, & hey presto I have all my gears back again... I'm off to get a new one in the morning. P.S. I still hate Datsun's.
  15. What happen lurch? Kyle.... My gearbox is now stuck in 3rd...
  16. I HATE DATSUN'S!!!
  17. Definitely something that would be salable here - photo's speak a million words though Cars over 25(?) years old are registrable LHD. Oh, I'd love a P90 head if you can get one easily... ?
  18. Guys, At some stage I'm going to need a new clutch (Std 280ZX unit atm). This topic came up during the Tassie trip & it got me thinking; Button, paddle, organic, carbon, etc??? Now with the promise of more HP from my engine, I was wondering what performance/heavy duty clutches people have had experience with (or heard of). My new one will need to stand up to the riggers of circuit work, yet still be 'usable' (very loose term) on the street. Idea's people?
  19. Thanks Craig... Just remember to check that your Zed starts tonight, mate. Don't want to have a repeat of last time...
  20. I'm ready! How's everybody else going? I'll meet you all at Powltown tomorrow
  21. Tried Ebay?
  22. Craig, 280ZX's have a steering box & steering arms (Drag links) similar to a 1600/180B. Simon, Have you tried ringing around the Zed specialists & seeing what they have to say?
