I'd buy an s13 instead, either silvia or 180sx, petrol will cost you less, there's heaps of bits around for them, and easier to work on although I must admit I've been tempted by Z32's before, particularly 2 seater turbo ones

I'm yet to meet someone outside the online zed community who knows what a 432 is, meanwhile everyone knows what a GTR is, and the c10 skyline shape looks like a nicer 1600, and we know how much bogans (and everyone else) loves them While i'd be interested in seeing a 432 in person, i'm sure i'd be just as impressed with an equally clean rb conversion with ITBs, or better yet an OS twin cam motor

Thanks guys, I might remove the intake then to give myself more room to play with and assume its not going to be that much harder to put back on in the car too

Planning to write up a proper build thread soon, but I've hit a Y in the road so to speak and am after some advice on what i should do. Am i better off waiting to get the headers I want to use before I drop the motor back in, or is it easy enough to do in the car? in my mind it seems like the threads in-between the exhaust and the intake would be pretty impossible to get to? I'd call top performance in vermont, victoria, I belive they are the koni importer for Australia, and I know one of the guys there rally's a 240z, so they should definitely know what's needed

since you've black out most of your trim i think it looks better with the black lip. however you'd probably need to paint the drip guards along with anything else black too, so it is just the zed badge that's crome. I've having the same dilemma when trying to work out my paint scheme, as I really like the look of all black wheels, but i'm planning to keep my bumpers and other trim chrome - although feel like it then looks like there's too much going on

As it's been said, there's nothing you can do. I had a seller simply change their mind, but proceed to waste my time over a week coming up with random requirements and excuses as to why I couldn't buy it (it was in the US, so I provided him with a US address, then had to get it verified via paypal and it just went on and on) At the end of the day, the most ebay can do is cancel their account, which just means they'd have to open another one

I'll be away, as was the case with the Christmas BBQ, looking forward to catching up with you guys in the new year, and maybe even getting my zed back on the road

Thanks for the kind words guys, I know it could be possible to get my car on the road by then, but don't really want to have to rush it - having the car there on the day isn't overly important to me, she's never been in my zed so it doesn't have any special meaning to the two of us, and I dont want her to start to dislike it based on me paying heaps of attention to it instead of actual wedding stuff. My childhood neighbour's just bought himself a stingray which I know I could use, so the thought of using a few 2 seaters has crossed my mind, but all in all I think i'd prefer to have us guys all in the 1 car since we'd fit We ended up using my s15 at my brothers wedding as the groomsmens car (as the car he intended to use broke down on the way there!) and that was alright, but squishy, so I'm not too concerned, but would love some 70's 4 door datsuns!

Hey guys, I've been fairly quiet around here lately, slowly working on my zed to get it back on the road, and am going to start an updated journal once there's some progress about to happen, but naturally things keep coming up (i think it's coming up to 5 years since it was last driven...which is sad) One of the things that's causing delays is I've recently gotten engaged, and set a wedding date of the 24th of November! Which means realistically my zed won't be ready, but we'd love to have three 4-door datsuns as wedding cars, so was wondering if anyone on here had anything they'd be happy to lend/drive on the day. 1600's/240c's etc etc, or really any 60/70's family cars as she grew up with a valiant so is fond of them. Unfortunatley there seems to be a hole in the wedding market of cars from this era. Failing that we've fortunately been offered a couple of more typical wedding cars, but they don't particuarly mean anything to us, and it would be awesome to have that datsun link!

they're slightly different sizes, i'll try to take a comparison photo of them tonight if they're at my place. I'm after a pair of completely orange ones...not happy with the condition of the ones I have, mainly as they are different as from different companies

i'd be interested in the one mentioned above, having no distinct spot for the exhaust could work in peoples favour as let them cut into it accordingly might see if i can harrass an awesome sketcher at work to do a couple of things

which model are these newer ones? and how much did it all end up costing you delivered?

fwiw s15 seats aren't very fitted compared to say wrx/fd seats and as far as i know s13-s15's share the same rails, so if you find someone putting 240sx seats into a zed that should answer your question

It would be great if you could enquire and relay the information, but I understand the alkward situation with not placing orders and pissing off suppliers! what are all you PMC engined guys using as mounts?

What are most people using for the engine mount and gearbox rubbers? Are the stock ones still available from nissan? My question is mainly directed to those with modified engines, as came across the McKinney mounts from the states, and this review where he says he constantly had to replace the stock rubbers - has this been your experiance?

there's some sitting at my parents place in east doncaster, should even be able to find a pair with some RWC rubber on them. you're more than welcome to borrow them if it works out more convenient than any of the other offers, all much of a muchness really

aren't the SW motorsport ones 6:2:1 or 6:1? these look like 6:3:1's, which I have a damaged pair of sitting here, so i need to either get them fixed or would love to grab a pair of these if he's able to make more as you're asking
