  1. Funny to read this 2009 article: https://www.carsguide.com.au/car-news/tokyo-drift-23526 R100's are now 6 figures along with RX2's and RX3's.. FD RX-7's now routinely sell above $50k. Good GTRs are $70k+ and it doesn't mention the 240z/260z prices back then. But they were routinely in the $10k range.
  2. 7:30 in and you're gonna give someone a heart attack...
  3. I do wonder how many arrived in Port Moresby and how many are left, given the nature of the place it's hard to imagine cars of that "status" surviving for long.. But a quick Google search and I found what appears to be an early 240z in PNG area. (Rabaul and Malaguna Rd in particular it would appear). http://athomeatriverbend.blogspot.com/2016/05/its-almost-half-century-ago.html Interesting to note is the early style fender mirrors that were also seen on HS30 00004, early D caps, but no vents in the hatch! Interesting. I wonder if the car is still around today?
  4. Can't have been many S30z's destined for PNG.. we know HS30 00012 was a PNG car. Maybe this car has its glovebox after it was turned into a race car?
  5. Nice I see you're a man of culture. I have a 260rs in my collection. Welcome.
  6. I would try www.240zrubberparts.com. ask them first. If not there is a couple of maker groups for 3D printing parts. I saw covers for the later seats not sure about an early seat.
  7. I tend to agree, the Detomaso Pantera's had tail lamps like the 240z and looked good!
  8. @VQ260z and @twoforty z thanks for your recent donations.
  9. I love the cloth braided hoses on these cars!
  10. Anyone here had a go at this 1?
  11. Update on KF Vintage sections. https://www.jdmjunkies.ch/wordpress/2020-05-11/240z-new-panels-arrived-from-bogota/
  12. NOS wheel caps. https://www.ebay.com/itm/254593480897?ul_noapp=true
  13. I'm digging up an old thread here, but does anyone know what happened to this S30Z? I actually quite like the front-end, reminds me of the old racing S30Z's in Japan and early experimentation with improvements to front aero.
  14. And to further add. Is an 11/72 compliance date with delivery date of 1st Dec. 1972.
  15. RE: Cut off points of certain years. Just going over some of the early 73 cars. Owner say compliance plate says 10/72 as compliance date. NB: The car has the 73 style indicators.
  16. I guess in this particular case it's from #888 and it's possible it's the car Len Brennan bought all those years ago.. given it was a white 904 / blue car and has similar wheels to those pictured when Len had a similar car in the 70s. I guess I don't want to twist the narrative to make it fit, but it is interesting that it may have indicated a special order or request. More about what I'm talking about here. I guess the more we see of these markings the more we will learn.
  17. Thanks Alan, I wonder if #1 means special order?
  18. Yes reading Len's comments made me realise how special and rare the blue interior combo is.. seems it was something you had to specifically order from Nissan and something Dealer's did for their own personal stock/cars. I have heard of other similar cars such as #21 being a similar situation i.e a dealer personal car and therefore looks like it received the rare blue/blue combo as a special request. Where as maybe Nissan didn't want to send the more flamboyant cars out as they were not sure of the reaction to such cars and felt a more vanilla/conservative combination would sell more easily and appeal to a wider audience? I love this part of the story, but I also think it's nice that the dealer went to that effort to accommodate Len's purchase. I was hoping that Len's story would have had more specific dates included, maybe I can contact him and ask if he knows what month/year as that would likely give us a closer compliance date timeframe.. But the traded for a 260C wagon is interesting, because it means the car could well have gone interstate after that through the dealer network if a request for a specific car / combination came through? By the way I just saw this article about Len.
  19. If you need a hand I'm only around the corner now! Pretty sure I don't have WuFlu but never know!
  20. I can't answer the glove box inscription question or what it means, that's something that @HS30-H would be best to answer given his Japanese language skills. But I was hunting for information on Len's car again as I knew it was posted here somewhere.. These 2 comments are worth reading again. Traded in for a 260C wagon.
  21. Hoping I can be there! Even if we have to spend it with the crow eaters lol.
  22. Hi Folks, Just looking for spare parts. If you have any old/broken/aborted projects let me know? Thanks, Gavin.
  23. There was a thread I read today about the nylon cord replacement. https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/39699-antenna-mast-plastic-string-replacement/
