  1. Old man and his Brush are back..
  2. For some reason R34 GTRs are looking well priced. https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-57804089
  3. Missing a lot of parts to restore that 1.
  4. I lived in Jo'Burg in 2012 for a few months. I have to say I really enjoyed living over there at the time. It was a bit wild west and appealed to me at the time. But I wouldn't want to raise a family over there. Worst I had was some dodgy beggars trying to jump in the back of my mates car because we happened to be polite enough to speak with him at the lights and offer him a few coins. Some truly desperate people in parts of the country. You have to be careful where you drive and what times in parts of JoBurg. Google maps nearly sent me into a few dodgy shantytowns and trouble with it..
  5. He froze up in fear. Probably left a brick on the passenger seat. Can't blame him really.
  6. The M-spec NUR (Silver car) may not have sold. Sometimes ads get taken down because they become stale after a while and so sometimes they resurface or finance falls over etc.. so just because it's placed on hold doesn't mean it's actually sold. With regard to GTRs I've noticed quite a few cars listed have had recent price drops. Sydney lockdown and other states etc.. must be having some kind of impact on people's finances and without JobKeeper/JobSeeker and early access to Super like last year I'd say stimulus money is somewhat running dry... However access to home equity to buy shiny things may still be a thing for some... I must admit I contemplated it momentarily, but decided perhaps not a good idea. I feel R34 prices may have topped out for a while , but I thought that about house prices 10 years ago.. egg on my face.

  9. We can only hope... @doudoushas stepped in it.
  10. Latest update has been applied. If we get another mass spammer like that again, I may have to prevent first time users (0 posts) from sending a PM until they have at least posted once and verified their accounts. I haven't done this yet because sometimes when a car is listed for sale new members join to message seller. But if we get everyone spammed, it's not worth it.
  11. It may never be matching numbers again but I find this car even more interesting because of its history. This is why I like putting together the HS30 registry / gallery / albums because they help us out together the gaps and sometimes track down missing cars. It would be very satisfying to find where HS30 00003 is for example..
  12. Just an FYI, everyone has messaged me about this. Both are spammers from Russia, accounts deleted and all messages with it. RaskM and Orange15. I will run some software updates soon(new release within the last week) to see if that will help keep them out for next time.
  13. As you can see by the tail lamps by that stage it had become the 260z shell..
  14. I can smell the bog dust from here..
  15. Yes and 918 original colour, but there are a very other minor details for the trainspotters, which might be hard to fake.
  16. There is a few giveaways as to what it is. And it deserves more then a simple man and his brush...
  17. I don't really see the appeal, a big lugging engine that doesn't like to rev but makes low down torque. Seems better suited to a boulevard cruiser. Not to mention lobbing the roof off an S30z destroys the perfect roofline of the car. To each their own, but not for me.
  18. Oh dear another for the meat grinder.
  19. I remember changing a clutch on my back on the garage floor, about 15 years ago. Nearly killed me also. Never again.
  20. When I got the car it has side mouldings that were coming off. I attempted to put them back on, but when using 3M adhesive I put them on thinking I could adjust them straight. But the mouldings had warped while off the car and looked wavy on the driver side. When attempting to fix this it pulled some paint off (flaking off) so I didn't touch it. Fast forward I couldn't back it being wavy and decided to remove it, knowing paint would come with it. Anyway it's all gone as you can see from the photos. It does look better without it but I'll need to touch up the paint in places, I've attached photos of the condition of the paint so you can get a sense of what I'm working with. The car will need a full repaint in future but I'm unlikely to get around to it soon. So for now I'll have to live with it as it is.
  21. Interesting car.. The man is using a model paint brush though..
  22. 280z or 280zx? Very different kettle of fish to early cars.

    Lance's 240Z

    HS30 103687?
  24. 901 Silver and 904 White. No other exterior colours had the red interior. Blue interior cars were 903 Blue and 904 White only.
