    Classic car bubble

While a few bubbles may be acceptable on a Z purchase as honest and only to be expected 'patina', you know all too well that they breed, mostly out of sight, and an expensive and potentially heartbreaking repair and restoration process is eventually coming your way...

Been a while, been chipping away slowly. changed the front brakes to ventilated disks with hilux surf callipers. head gasket blew so changed out the head and discovered the poor engine was sludge city so cleaned that out. bought a set of coilovers and stripped a set of struts and sent off for welding. got the tune right but idle is uneven due to worn needles, need to order new ones. got sick of looking at rust and she is being stripped and repaired one section at a time.

    Micheal's Bent Bus

A section of quarter panel below the LH quarter glass had rusted out, so I fabricated a replacement section, cut the old section out & welded in the new patch: It just needs a little tapping about to smooth it up, so I'll come back to it in due course. The LH sill was rusted out at the front and back, along with accident damage. We decided to remove it & replace it with a new one, but as it was a Bus, it's not that simple... Cut off, de-rusted and KBS'd: I bought a 260Z/280Z LH sill from @kfvintagejdm, then cut the end off and fabricated an extension. This was then KBS'd inside and welded into position:
