Sirpent Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 TOTALLY OFF TOPIC AND OFF THE PLANET! 11.45pm this evening I was outside having a nail when I looked up and saw something unusual, I called my son to fetch his new telephoto DLSR camera and we too 10 minutes of video footage of a UFO flying over the Sydenham Taylors Lakes area, about 20 of our neighbors joined us and looked on as this ball of light flying erratically at times and at other hovering changed colors from solid red to orange to Green to purple, then disappearing to suddenly appear again in a blaze of color. This object did not have flashing lights, no sound so wasnt a chopper nor aircraft. Hope to be able to post it to Youtube soon. Has anyone else ever seen something like what I have described? John Quote
Sirpent Posted December 24, 2011 Author Posted December 24, 2011 Yup was waiting for the crackpot comments, but it wasn't and 20 odd ppl couldn't all be on the turps and hallucinating. Will share the footage when my son downloads it Quote
T.A.P Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Looking forward to the video, sounds very interesting. Quote
nizm0zed Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 when the black helicopters and government agents turn up to take you away, can i have your car Quote
C.A.R. Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 John, knowing the area you live in, it was probably swamp gas from a weather balloon that was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus. Quote
luvemfast Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 This "nail" you were having John. Didn't happen to be one of those "whacky" types? Certainly look forwards to the video. But it's more than likely of a few tripped out hippies dancing in the street Quote
peter t Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Sounds like a Min Min light but usually not seen that far south. Must have been the "NAIL" Quote
Scoota G Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 GUYS GUYS would you Relax! Just my friends come to pick me up and i'll be back in a few days ok!!! Tell you now though these things have AWESOME Wi-Fi. Quote
Sirpent Posted December 25, 2011 Author Posted December 25, 2011 OK here is the link Very hard to see, but if you go to the 6 minute mark and watch from there on you will see the pin prick of light change colors and direction of movement a couple of times. Watching this on a large LED TV really shows it up unfortunately its hard to watch and see it constantly on the Youtube small screen footage. Quote
nizm0zed Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 interesting.... Im not going to say 100% that i believe its an alien space craft, however i will believe that it is a UFO (Unidentified Flying Object) Now, given that for a good part of the clip, there is no frame reference, it could be a still object that appears to move due to the camera itself moving. However, that 'fact' appears to be null and void during the points where the streetlight is in view and the object appears to move. At first, it seems to follow a pattern, moving in an almost regular and predictable path. Was something like this apparent to you? seeing as you were standing in a still position (i'll assume sober) once you consider with a rational and logical mind, the statistical probability of life existing elsewhere in the universe (very damn high, considering bacteria counts as life) And then the statistics of some of that being intelligent life being a decent possibility. There is a consideration though, given our current understanding of physics theory that nothing can travel faster than light, without resorting to folding space, which requires power estimated to be equivalent to harnessing a black hole, that if there is intelligent life elsewhere, the monumental task of traveling to another star would seem pointless if no effort was made to communicate with the dominant sentient species and instead focused on flying in drunken circles or probing cows. Lets assume that they do exist, and they have come and 'communicated' Its understandable why the forces in ultimate power would try to hide an event like that, the religious damage alone could be catastrophic, but the statistics and numbers involved in such a cover up would make it almost impossible anyway. Another possible theory could be that its human tech, either advanced and not shared with the general public, or from a future point in time, however that itself has its own conundrum and conflicts in fact, so i wont go there. Im going to suggest that you have one hell of a story, ok, it cant be proved, but it also cant be DISPROVED, and that is just as important. I personally hope that it really is life from outside of our solar system, or perhaps we are not the dominant sentient species of our solar system. To then consider a possibility like that, that there could be other sentient life within our own solar system (that expands out and past the Oort cloud, thats a HUGE area) its also then reasonable to conclude that they could have been there for a LOOOONG time, making it a lot easier to manipulate humans social and technological development resulting in control and cover up of any possible evidence. Lets face it, if the dark ages hadn't happened, human kind would probably be exploring the stars now. Google "2010 KQ" an object that orbits in a position that it observes our little blue planet, highly probable that its artificial, likely that its a rocket booster stage, but if you'll also believe the nutbag conspirators its an alien probe observing us. can neither be proven nor denied. Sirpent Posted December 25, 2011 Author Posted December 25, 2011 Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I must admit, that was one of the most interesting replies I have ever read, not sure whether to take it as complimentary or facetious nevertheless, an excellent execution of words with some thought provoking eloquence akin to something Arthur C Clarke may have presented. No, I was sober, as where the many watching it, what intrigued me was the fact that the change in hues was so fluent no sequencing or flashing, what the camera caught was 1/5 what you could see happening as far as intensity, and the movement, well it seemed to race off away from the camera therefore the loss of light before returning back into scene and as you noted the light pole did give a point of reference later on which does show the object moving from left to right and back while losing altitude then climbing again. Look, it may be a hoax, but what bright spark would do something like this on Christmas eve of all nights? It's estimated that out galaxy contains a billion suns, and that the universe contains a billion galaxies, so if we are a 1 in a billion fluke and the same goes for the remaining billion galaxies, that would put the number of Earth like life supporting planets out there at 1 billion ! Thanks for humoring me all, just thought Id share something interesting, by the way I did some net research, seems I'm not the first to have sighted this activity in the area, read some of the posts here, they mirror what I saw and what the camera partially caught. http://www.onlymelbourne.com.au/melbourne_details.php?id=13389 Quote
nizm0zed Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 oh i think i did quite a good job of saying nothing at all ;D tbh, i would love to one day travel to some 'ufo hotspots' and camp out for a week, to maybe see something myself, whatever it may be, with my own eyes. Kinda jealous if you have seen that.... *waves hand Self confessed Sci fi nut here... Quote
Patch Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 I witness a strange unexplained ufo in 1978, it landed and planes and choppers flew over it,we were told it was nothing and they gave all these possible causes, none of them made sense and all went quite about it, here is the story. http://www.ufocusnz.org.nz/content/The-world-famous-%E2%80%98Kaikoura-Lights%E2%80%99-sightings/58.aspx Lot more about it here in detail. http://brumac.8k.com/NEW_ZEALAND/NZSB.html Quote
MaygZ Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Hey John, how was the probe? Did they buy you a drink first? It wouldn't be the same without an inane comment from me :-) Quote

Maybe so, but the posts on that thread I posted describe the exact same thing going back many months so it must have been an Easter gift. Quote
