Either run gauze before the LP intank pump, then a HP filter after your HP pump.

Or in cases with a surge tank, you run an LP pump through an LP filter into the surge tank whcih recirculates the fuel back into the fuel tank 'cleaning' it, then a HP filter after your HP pump whcih sucks from the surge tank.

That sounds like a plan. I have a speedflow filter on the intake to my Bosch 910, but will be re fitting a surge tank, so things will get a little busier at the tank...

There has slowly been some more progress in the engine bay.  :D

I have have done all the necessary boging, sanding and treated the entire engine bay with Fertan rust converter.  This sprays on and gets into all the nooks.

I then etch primed (white) for a nice grab to the dried converter coat and then primed (mustard).  This will be sanded with 320 to get a smooth finish before paint.

Make sure you get paint under the radiator support panel top ledge and inside the foot-vent duct holes. There's that many layers of steel squashed together in some of these areas that it's easy to miss a spot.

Thanks for the support guys. ;)

Well, I wasn't inspired by anything on TV tonight, so i gave it that light sand and applied 4 coats of satin black.......Still a bit shiny as it is still drying.

Well, not quite L29 in, but some progress today. Am using SS bolts and nuts on everything.

Also managed to source a new reproduction RS30 id plate from zeddsaver.  ;)

Are these plates exactly the same and stamped to suit your chassis or is that part DIY? Mine is Jap do they have them?

Gareth, they are identical to the original ones but no engine or chassis number. It can be stamped on, but I won't just yet. I don't know if they have jap ones. Check out his website.  http://zeddsaver.com/

Looks good mate.

FYI, those are high pressure speedflow fittings and you'll only need low pressure ones which are 1/3 of the price.

No these are Earls fittings. I do not know of any low pressure AN fittings.  :o Are you referring to the clamp style hose ends? If so, yes they are definitely cheaper. I did consider them but I am not really doing this to save money....They are not as sexy as proper AN right? Plus I only paid about $12 a fitting through Summit. Postage was cheap too. Speed shops here wanted triple that per fitting!
