Stivva Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 Perhaps you heard that. I am in two minds but the new flares would suit G-nose. Quote
d3c0y Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I really want to see what the Type-B looks like in person particularly the flares. Quote
Retro Z Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I think Ash has the type B flares with g nose on his replica race car. Quote
Stivva Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 I need to widen my rims or get new ones. Does anyone know where I can get an added 2 inches of width on my Meisters from in VIC? The wheels came up great and I even got new decals from the states for them in white. Next stop panel shop for flares and rust repairs. Quote
phillay Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 get on to these guys to get your wheels widen http://www.whitehorseindustries.com.au/ there's also one that's opposite of them called eastern wheel works but they are more expensive. they are in lilydale Quote
Stivva Posted May 24, 2014 Author Posted May 24, 2014 Excellent! Thank you. I shall give them a call tomorrow. Quote
phillay Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 I saw a set of 15*12 AND 15*10 panasports on yahoo kapan not long ago for a reasonable price but not sure on how you would get tyres Quote
d3c0y Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 What tyres are you going to run on 15" rims that wide? Quote
EVIL_denver Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 hey Steve, Ive used Neway Wheels in heidelberg. Reasonably priced!! Quote
zed74 Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 What tyres are you going to run on 15" rims that wide? Think he will need Michelin TB15's (historic race tyre & road legal) Some big sizes from 275mm up to 315mm Quote
d3c0y Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Please link me to these wonders. I would have 15" rims for the fun of it if i could find tyres that were wider than 225. Quote
Stivva Posted May 27, 2014 Author Posted May 27, 2014 I am going to Eastern Wheel Works and they are changing the offset of my wheels to suit Quote
benny Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 I am going to Eastern Wheel Works and they are changing the offset of my wheels to suit how they going to do it?? Quote
Stivva Posted May 27, 2014 Author Posted May 27, 2014 Well the wheels are a two piece welded item, so ten remove the centre by cutting the original weld out, machine the rim and polish it and then re-weld the face back in place in the new location using the same technique as was used when the wheel was made. It is $250 a corner. Quote
benny Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 nice... not to bad price wise!! so your staying same width just changing offsets? Quote
d3c0y Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Stiv what size tyres are you running on those Meisters? Quote
Stivva Posted May 30, 2014 Author Posted May 30, 2014 Currently they are 245 40 r 17 but I am swapping to a 275 as soon as I require new tyres. The front tyres are 225s and I think I might keep those as is. I got the rims dropped off at the wheel works today so I should see them next week. Quote
Stivva Posted September 27, 2014 Author Posted September 27, 2014 Might actually see this thing back on the road this year Quote
Stivva Posted October 13, 2014 Author Posted October 13, 2014 Time to put it back together and start some adjustments in the suspension and tyres Quote
