I was under the impression that perhaps I could remove the faceplate?

They look great though, what one is closest to original?

This 1 looks closest to the original 240z radio.

Also, does anyone with quality Black carpet want to trade for my beige colour carpet?

Its a great contrast and looks great but, I want to revert to stock interior.

hmm have you come across Nat at Auto Body works?

I would not take my car anywhere else in Syd. Your typical panel beater just doesn't have the patients and Nat's been doing it for all his life.

wow that's a pretty good price. I thought these things costed heaps.

I got all the postage quotes back from all the other sellers of these and some said they couldn't post and others said postage was about $130, granted their buying price was $40 cheaper, but its still closer to $300 rather than $200.

That Diamond Vinyl is about $120 delivered for 120" x 54" which is a rather good price, so that may be the next purchase.

By any chance have you looked in to replacement tail lights?

I just broke the lenses in mine cause some dummy previous owner glued them in instead of using the proper gaskets! 260z btw :)

you can get brand new american spec ones, from ebay.com, but occasionally brand new replicas show up on ebay.co.uk.

Sorry to hijack the thread but which lenses did you break? I have a pair of tailights I could sell you or I have a pair of just the orange (indicator) lenses if interested.

So, I need to purchase a new Fairlady Z badge for the bobtail spoiler which has been reinstalled. Is it the same badge as the one on the fenders? Or is it a different (size) one?

Also I am looking a purchasing some new rims, and I wanted to know will 12" wide rims fit on the rear under ZG flares?

Posted

Gone back to gloss? Nice!

I have put a 8 +10 offset wheel on the back of my car with no issues, that would make it -38 if you went to 12" though lol

Posted

That would make it 8" wide with a +23. Go find a friend (most likely an S13 owner) with some weak offset mags, test fit and have a look

Posted

$90 a wheel plus unknown postage, enquiry has been sent.

I need them from the states, because no one here offers massive negative offsets unless I pay $400 a wheel for custom make.

Australia fails again.

Stivva at that price I am definately interested , I have 40 mm spacers on the back and 25mm spacers on the front to help fill out my wide body guards , these type of rims would eliminate those.Perhaps 15 in. rims  might also make racing tyres more affordable ,might even be able to find good second hand slicks to fit at a reasonable price .Please keep me informed about getting  a set or two, if that is not to much trouble

Actually, if we can get enough people to buy them (5 people) we can actually custom order them in Australia for the same price from Queensland.

There is mob there that will do them in whatever size you want, and offset, but you need to order a minimum of 20 wheels

I have 9" -10 with 38mm spacers, what is equivalent?

That would be 12" -10. I seriously doubt you would have the clearance to the spring perches/struts to run that though. Might have to think about some custom extra wide ZG or maybe IMSA style flares

Posted

Yeah i'd be down for a set or 2 Stivva. Have you got any pics or a website i can look at?. And do all 20 wheels need to be the same spec/size? As i want a set for my Old Celica aswell in different offset.

Also we'd probably need those Bamf wide ZG flares, as i tried a friends Veilside Andrews 17x12-0 and it hits the struts and sticks out about 15 centimetres lol

10" wide -40 offset will fit all round with no problems and a little poke, what if we aimed for them?

Looks great Stiva, I'd say definately the wider ZG flairs or even the type B flairs.

What about clearance on the front air dam, there's also chassis rail clearance when getting close to full lock. You don't want to end up like a V8 supercar doing a three point turn to go right at a roundbout. You'd need power steering too
