DAT392 Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 I have been reading this forum for a few months now and have learnt a few things from many of your experiences. This has helped me to try and improve my z and expand my knowledge on them. They are great cars in all forms though some purists may disagree.I have owned mine for 14 years now slowly modifying it over time but enjoying the ride, even when things break. My car is a 260z 2+2 with a 393 ford racing windsor, engineered and street driven. There are some really nice zeds on this site its awesome. DAT392 Posted July 20, 2009 Author Posted July 20, 2009 Must take some more photos when I have a chance. Quote
620Z Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 So you going to tell us a bit about your car? Specs etc. I'm glad you got a bonnet with a smaller scoop. Otherwise I think the cops would be pulling you over every 5 klms. Quote
sexual_sushi Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 I would maybe post all of these pics in the same thread, just keeps the place a bit tidier Quote
C.A.R. Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 Topic's merged... Perhaps a wander down to your local optometrist for a new pair of spectacles is in order? There are TWO - yes TWO! - buttons that you need to understand: 1. is 'Reply' down the bottom of the page that is used to ad extra information to an existing post. This button - believe it or not - is the one you 'should' have used! Amazing I know... 2. is the 'Post new thread' button - this is the one you failed to use correctly & ended up cluttering up the forum & making me spend unnecessary time merging your posts into this one BTW, that scoop looks like arse IMHO. Welcome to the forum. Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted July 20, 2009 Administrators Posted July 20, 2009 Topic's merged... Perhaps a wander down to your local optometrist for a new pair of spectacles is in order? Well to be honest the font size is quite small. So perhaps he doesn't have perfect 20/20 vision. Keep in mind that not everyone is 'internets savvy'. I may have missed some other discussions as a result of the edit so I'm only commenting from what I see. I'm not sure how much mopping up was required but cheer up Lurch . BTW, that scoop looks like arse IMHO. Welcome to the forum. Well it was never going to be everyone's cup of tea. Welcome to the forum all the same. Quote
C.A.R. Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 I should also mention I'm a grumpy old bitch. Don't take my comment's personally. But probably not. Quote
Cdr Zero Posted July 20, 2009 Posted July 20, 2009 That's a tidy looking Zed, I quite like the scoop on it. Don't mind Lurch, he's just pissed 'cos he's lost his protractor somewhere again. Quote

stewk240 Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Needs a front spoiler!!!! Love to see pics of the engine though. Quote
DAT392 Posted July 21, 2009 Author Posted July 21, 2009 Cool will try and take some pics of engine bay this week sometime. Quote
DAT392 Posted July 21, 2009 Author Posted July 21, 2009 Lurch what is arse imho?Just for future reference.Any way that bonnet by alpha glass was the only one that would fit and I know that a 4inch cowl may have looked better but no clearance with the way the bonnet is pitched, curved down.I have mates with big block monroes, torranas, comaros running these style bonnets with 6inch cowl and it doesnt look as drastic.Sometimes its just trial and error when you are going for something different. Kodie Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Haha this thread makes me chuckle! Welcome to the forums dat392. IMHO is like most "internet speak" or "web speak" it is contextual. It has a heaps of meanings like In My Humble Opinion, In My Holy Opinion (used when being a smart arse), In My Hesitating Opinion, In My Highest Opinion (Also used when being a smart arse) but the one that lurch was using is In My Honest Opinion. stevo_gj Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 Dat392 don't worry about it mate, I think it looks good and as many people say: as long as you are happy that's all that matters! Nice car and welcome to the forums Quote
