stevo_gj Posted February 17, 2010 Author Posted February 17, 2010 According to my mate: "The colour is customised from the original red on your car. No code, just enhanced." Quote

Zeddophile Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Looking fantastic! Now, which of the 3 cars I have around here in need of paint should I do first.... The one in primer? The one thats full of 'ventilation' holes? Or the one that the paint is falling off.... Dammit Steve, look what you've gone and done! Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted February 17, 2010 Administrators Posted February 17, 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8w3fhYy6w4 LMAO. Steve car looks amazing, paint job is super slick and the colour really stands on edge. It will look fantastic once you put it all back together. Gotta take some photos of it . Quote
stevo_gj Posted February 18, 2010 Author Posted February 18, 2010 Thanks guys. Might get it back today, we'll see. Shaun they're even putting my new weatherstripping on haha.. Quote
Lynton Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Yay Steve it looks fabulous you would have to be mighty proud of that, Lynton Quote
stevo_gj Posted February 18, 2010 Author Posted February 18, 2010 Thanks Lynton Well I am due to pick the car up this afternoon which is exciting. They have polished the door trims back to stainless steel (were painted black) but were unable to remove the smaller side windows due to the rubber being completely gone and fear of causing leaks. This means that the trim around them will still be black until I can get some rubber replacements. Anyone got a line on good quality rubbers for those rear quarter windows? I'll have to do it myself some time in the future so the photos I post up later will not be the final product. And Shaun I know you are going to say something about my window wiper arms, I WILL fix them up... eventually Quote
sexual_sushi Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 Haha I wasn't actually, but now you mention it... just do it. $50 and 2 nuts and it's done with brand new ones. Or $10 spray can and 2nuts and you've got a cheap temp fix Quote
garvice Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 $50 and 2 nuts and it's done with brand new ones. What will the labour cost be for his mechanic to do it though Shaun? You can't expect a mechanical engineer like steve to get his hands dirty. He has said before he doesn't have tools. Quote
stevo_gj Posted February 19, 2010 Author Posted February 19, 2010 Can sum1 lend me a screwdriver plz? Quote

garvice Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Wow, you have done well mate. Or should I say, wow you have handed your money over well mate. It did look like a bit of an eye saw before mate. Brad Quote
Zedback Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 ta da~ Steve, you BUTCHER!. You've gone and destroyed a piece of classic '70s art! . . . . . . Well done Quote
Zeddophile Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 +1 HOT. Just drop it an inch or two. I'm probably the only one, but I reckon it looks spot on at the height it is - especially for a daily driver. Looking great steve, you've put some serious effort into her since you started, and shes a real head turner! Quote
Lynton Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 So Steve, I know you are going to address the rear qtr windows and take them back to SS which I think will really top the look off but what will you do with the side front mudguard indicators that are still painted black? By the way don't lower it the car looks perfectly balanced(Picaso)!! Lynton Quote
sexual_sushi Posted February 21, 2010 Posted February 21, 2010 what will you do with the side front mudguard indicators that are still painted black? I saw this as well but I actually like them black. I normally like everything chrome to be nice shiny chrome but I think it's because of the black vents and the black rubbers on the bumpers, it matches. But it would look good either way Quote
