Cozza Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 (edited) Is this $7,800 starting price serious and will it make the $10,000 reserve? Edited December 7, 2019 by Cozza Quote
gilltech Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 Ouch. Double-ouch. Suit panel-beater-come-miracle-worker perhaps... gav240z 1 Quote
1600dave Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 (edited) Note the background in the two pics, in particular the fusebox on the wall. Bought by car yard to turn a profit, but they've realised its too much work (or they got it dirt cheap and are trying to profit by flipping it as-is). Same mob that have been trying to flog a dodgy looking Fairlady roadster over the last month or two. Nothing wrong with that I guess, although they are trying to sell it via a private ebay account rather than their business one, and are making out it was bought as a private project. Apologies if I sound like Gav on the tail of Edward Lee...... Edited December 14, 2019 by 1600dave OdinZ and gav240z 2 Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted December 14, 2019 Author Administrators Posted December 14, 2019 No no, good work. I agree. Dodgy as.. Quote
1600dave Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 And then there's "Engine is in it, box should be too (As far as I know)".. Really ?? You;re trying to sell a complete wreck for $7800, how hard is it to stick your head under the car to see if it has a gearbox or not ?? gav240z 1 Quote

Cozza Posted December 21, 2019 Posted December 21, 2019 I’m sure these sellers have a motive but, I don’t understand it. Quote
C.A.R. Posted December 21, 2019 Posted December 21, 2019 Has popped up on FB for $6500. I pity the poor bastard that buys it - I'd estimate 30K in rust repairs to put it right. Quote

And how much original metal would be left after it's been stripped? Not much. Tell me that surely to god it's a parts car, nothing more. In the ad: "Blue tape holding panels down during transport..." Really? Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted December 21, 2019 Author Administrators Posted December 21, 2019 $30k would be getting off lightly I'd imagine. Quote
