Administrators gav240z Posted April 5, 2019 Author Administrators Posted April 5, 2019 Rough 2+2 (TURBO) non intercooled... https://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/humpty-doo/cars-vans-utes/datsun-260z/1214697733 Compliance plate has been messed with. Looks like a 74 model, not a later 78 model. (based on chassis no. and fresh air ducts in rad support). Could be a good car to take further with intercooler, upgraded modern turbo and ECU. PS: I thought Humty Doo was a joke (location) but turns out it's a real place. I'd probably nickname this car Humphrey Bear, it's a big brown 2+2 and I loved that Bear as a kid. OdinZ 1 Quote

Should definitely be 74. I have photos of GRS30-000667 and that has a build date of 7/74, and that date is positioned where it has been scratched on the compliance plate. P.S. Humphrey Bear was a pretty cool bear! Quote

Its HS30 00354, I got it. My first Z. Its fully stripped but rust free, has a cage, extended frame rails and front chassis reinforcement. Used to be a show car with a big 2JZ in it and a wide body, and some questionable details like supra taillights. Last photos of it complete were from 2010 WTAC as far as I know gav240z 1 Quote

Seem really cheap but not the greatest of pics to go by. The first 2 are sold. The last 1 is really interesting. It looks like another 904 white with blue interior car, but it's also an early 240z with vents in rear hatch and likely a manual. I know of 6 cars total that had 904 white exterior and blue interior. Could this be #7? It says chassis number in the #2xx range. Would be great to confirm what it is and how much he is asking. If it's in Melbourne I would be tempted to look. Quote
