Thanks for the advice. No idea how this happened, but left it overnight and the brakes are quite firm. Perhaps there was some air trapped further up the line which it was able to bleed by itself.

Hi all, Just bleeding my brakes on my 1978 Datsun 260Z as I needed to disconnect the front calipers to service the struts. Having some issues with a soft pedal (wont brake until foot flat to floor). Just trying to eliminate possible issues - am I right in saying that the reservoir for the front calipers on the BMC is not related to the reservoir for the rear drums?? So if I had a air bubble in the front - it could not migrate to the rear lines? I am re-bleeding the entire system regardless from rear to front but keen to get any ideas where the source of the problem could be. Thanks in advance

I do not recommend (as you said) any eBay copies. I purchased one and spent more time and money making it fit. You could try a Kameari fibreglass or carbon fibre version https://www.rhdjapan.com/kameari-carbon-rear-spoiler-s30.html You can also purchase direct from the manufacturer in Japan. I presume this is what you meant by rear lip. Who did you purchase the Xenon front lip from?

The issue here is that I was sold the standard height as they match to George's description. Not the lowered which is why they look different. Never trust Gumtree sellers.

Just need some help identifying which lowering springs go in the front and which in the rear. I purchased a set of King Springs (lowered) second hand for a 260Z and unfortunately the part numbers had rubbed off. Since then I have powder coated red. There are 3 pictures for comparison. The yellow set are King Springs which I was trying to compare them to (pic found online). The first red set are Tokico (denoted by F for Front and R for Rear) (pic also fpubd online) The second red set with no numbers are mine. Which I cannot identify which go where. You will notice that one set have an extra two coils. Both sit into the seat of the strut nicely. The yellow King Springs show one set are longer than the other which mine are not. Any advice would be helpful. Telling me that I should have test fitted them prior to powdercoating or that I shouldnt have trusted the seller is not helpful, haha!

It was in such good condition and I had to have it. I imported it to Australia through USAtoAUS import company. Once it arrived in Australia I spent many many hours stripping the paint to bare metal. To my suprise there was very minimal rust. The original colour was burgundy. Afterwards I handed it over to RestoPros in Hanwood NSW to finish the restoration. They did an exceptional job and I spent tens of thousands of dollars with them to bring it up to the amazing condition it is in now. It has been in storage awaiting club rego, however I have decided to part ways with it. In the two years that I have undertaken this project, I have married and have a baby on the way. I would much prefer to spend the money on my new born, wife and new home. Most suited for club rego - only requires pink slip and club inspection. If you want it on full rego it will require an engineers certificate (On purchase of this car you will receive all the import documentation required for rego). All good. Once I put the whole door back together I remembered where it goes. So I will have to pull it apart again. It goes between the door glass and the metal bracket along the top metal straight edge.

Hi All, Just need some help identifying where this rubber is located. I have a S30 coupe (2 seater) and currently putting it back together after a respray and I am not sure where these rubber bits go. I seem to have labelled everything except these two parts. Hi All, Any suggestions for what spare wheels will fit on a 240/260Z and which will also fit in the wheel well in the boot. I have gone around a few wreckers looking for a 15" space saver 4x114.3 wheel but no luck. They are mostly 4x100. I even ordered a S13 space saver online but got scammed (dont buy from East Coast Jap Imports). I have heard of people using a 1990 to 1995 Hyundai Sonata space saver or a Mitsubitishi Colt. But no luck in the wreckers Ive been through. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you

Also purchased this badge for the Z from D-Pan GT in the USA. It apparently says "Fairlady Z" in Kanji. I just hope it's not like getting a tattoo of a Chinese symbol which supposedly says "hope" or "courage" when the actual translation is "soup" or "chicken" etc. Haha Anyway, I thought it was pretty cool. Going to put it on my bobtail spoiler.

Current progress: Switched the side marker lights to side indicator lights Installed side mirrors (CIPA 19100 from Amazon US) Installed front air dam (Xenon 3125 from eBay/Jegs) Made brackets for the front bumper to attach to Installed front bumper (from Muscle Car Parts Australia) When installing the air dam, there didn't seem to be enough support from the headlight cones where the instructions said to install it. I noticed there was a metal piece in front and below the radiator, if you remove the bolt from the middle bracket and loosen the side bolts, you can rotate it towards the air dam. I then put some bolts (don't worry these aren't the final bolts I will be using, got some nice dress-bolts and washers on order) through the air dam and into the metal piece and it is holding nice and tight now.

While I didn't end up purchasing from Alfa Motorsport Fibreglass, they were nice enough to forward me pictures of their available 240Z / 260Z / S30 air dams and other fibreglass products. I purchased a Zenon 3215 air dam from Jegs on eBay http://stores.ebay.com/JEGS-High-Performance The shipping from the US to my door was only $65 AUD using the eBay international shipping program. They also make an air dam for the 240Z; Xenon 3124. Very happy with the quality and fitment. Hope this helps.

Bought a pair of CIPA 19100 mirrors from the US and will install once I can figure out how to remove the door panel. I cannot figure out how to remove the door handle metal cover. Mine has a black plastic cover which hides the screw. Any suggestions how to remove the plactic cover without snapping it?
