First hand inspection is the ONLY way to see condition.

It's panel gaps & body seam lines looked good though...

hi mate, could you care to disclose what you thought subtracted from its value?

i too have joined the search for a 2-seate z and was also interested in that car, but have very little experience with older carburetor cars

Everyone has differing opinions on what they would pay for a Zed. I do not want to talk down this car.

There were only minor issues that for most would not bother due to the age, the car was well cared for and in good condition. When you compare it to what I have seen restored on this site and sold for +$20k this car was worth $12k but with the rarity of them at the moment I think someone would pay $15k

As far as your search, what is always said on this forum, get one with a good body, the mechanicals are easier and cheaper to fix. If you are worried about older cars, do not worry about the carbies...worry about the body, where the rust is and has been and if there have been any significant body repairs

Yep the value of an S30z is in the body (for the most part).

Hi All,

My first post on the forum! I am the proud owner of the silver 260z you are all discussing. Took a big punt and bought the car sight unseen from photos. Fingers crossed it is as shown in the pics.

What problems did you notice with it when you inspected it? Its currently being shipped from Brisbane to me down in Melbourne.

A good buy, you must have put the deposit on it while I was on my way to look at it....everyone for the future, give a deposit over the phone first...you snooze you loose! (no hard feelings :)  ^-^ )

Please send me a PM with your email and I will send you the email detailing the car that I sent to the young girl I told I had found her car :-\

This car has been on Gumtree for 2 days, so I am not sure why one of the eagle-eyed members here hasn't added it yet.

all original brakes to rear
neoprene everywhere
koni adjustable shocks
280z motor with some work done

* Edit (18 Nov) - I have just noticed something strange about this car - it looks like it only has a fender mounted indicator light on the driver's side.

I know it's an old listing, but I was desperate to find photos of this car again. I managed to retrieve them :).

Such a lovely example, whoever bought it did very well in my opinion.
