Does this one go up for sale once a year?

Datsun 240z
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Datsun-240z/302737823159

This is a barnfind from a deceased estate that I intended on restoring but haven't made the time.
It starts and stops for transport and has all the hard to get original bits that would make his a very good project for someone that wants to end up with a great example.  Original radio that works, door cards and diamond vinyl in great condition.  It does not appear to have had front or rear damage repairs and I am open to introduce my panel and paint guy if you like.  Thank you for looking and please call for any questions or if you have anything to swap. I also have better 240z's that I can list if that's what you are after, I just need to sell one. 0437 262143

Zack in Penrith is selling it. Otherwise known as the wood chipper. He has a reserve so if the car doesn't meet it he won't sell.

I saw it in person once, biggest issue is some pitting in the rear 1/4 panel from the rust. However I'm importing panels as you know including rear 1/4 panels. So it can be sorted.

It's pretty original which is a plus.

Hi

That is one of the many cars that “Issac the Woodchipper” has.

From time to time he puts one or two on Ebay.

Cheers

I can get more photos / details about it if you're interested in it. I have HS30 01415 with Zack and I believe they are sitting next to each other. :).

I just remember seeing the 1/4 panels and thinking that won't be an easy fix. But if you have new / replacement 1/4 panels it would make it a lot more viable.

Gosford Car Flipping Museum.

Asking: $35k

Seller's Comment

-      First sold new in Queensland, Australia in 1975
-      Light restoration completed in 2011
-      History file detailing some of the works carried out

This vehicle was first sold new in Queensland, Australia in 1975 and features automatic transmission. The previous owner undertook a light restoration in 2011 which included a top end engine rebuild and a back to bare metal respray in its original green.

The vehicle comes with a history file detailing some works carried out by the previous owners and today presents an excellent opportunity to purchase a future classic

Following the huge success of the 240Z, Datsun released its successor the 260Z in 1974. The aggressive and sleek exterior styling was very similar to its predecessor with the interior receiving an updated dash console which featured integrated A/C in to climate control panel, however the major difference was the overall engine capacity was increased to 2.6L. This meant that power was also increased to 165bhp and top speed was now 205km/h.

Also introduced with the new model, was a GT style variant featuring a 2+2 seating layout suitable for small adults and children.

* Test drive and viewing by appointment only

By the way an old thread here on that car.

http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/2527-71-240z-on-ebay/

Has discussions on how good the car is etc.. from people who saw it.

I think the Gosford Museum would have paid < 13k for the Green 260Z 2+2. I saw it on car sales for a while before they seemed to acquired it. Last year they wanted 22k. It's good but not that good that considering it's a 2+2 auto and has a nice sunroof for added value.

When I lived in Caulfield, there was a Fire Station along North Road (Ormond) around 1999 / 2000 and I saw a 260z exactly like this parked there. I guess it was owned by a Fire Fighter?

I recall stopping by 1 day to look at it and seeing everything in good condition and original and thinking wow!

I wonder if it's the same car?

Just one more and at least it's a Z!!

1989, 300ZXTT, 2 seater. $8,000

Looks very clean and well looked after and only 2 previous owners.

I have to admit this is tempting for the price(negotiable!)

But alas, my wife and I are heading to Europe in 8 weeks and she wouldn't be impressed if I came home with a new car at this point in time.

Needless to say she hasn't been impressed with me on many occasions previous!!

Z32's are at their low point in values right now. I suspect they will pick up in value soon. Supra's, RX-7's, Skylines have already started to increase in values. These have lagged a bit.

Was thinking the same thing Gav.

Edit:

I seem to remember a time when 240Z's were at this price point too!

Talking about Supras......well Gav happened too in a post above!

Not sure about the white stripes and massive tailpipe/muffler setup.

But damn that thing will certainly get up and boogie with that 3 litre motor and twin turbo.
