Good evening folks,

Quick question: Is it a must to have fender flares for the following wheel sizes? Or can I  get fenders pulled?

just

Front: 15x8j ET-5

Rear: 15X10J ET-32

Thanks

Agree - the 8's will probably fit if you get your guards rolled.

First,

Lets find out,,, on what car?

On a ZX body it is surprising what can fit, a bit f rear lipping and the old baseball bat, with a bit of back and forth action, and fitment of that "sucked in" tyre look, the neg32's may make it!

I have a few sets f new in box Watanabe knockoff's in 15x9 at neg 13, on a Z body, yes work needed, on a ZX body, they just sneak in ncely!

In a 240z Im thinking the -5 will not fit...15x8 in a zero or +4 yes.. -5 has to be getting damn close to the perch.

you are getting it confused.  A negative offset will be further away from the perch than a 0 of positive offset as the back space is lower.

To the original poster. You will need big flares for the 10 with a -32 bigger than zg flares more like the group 4 type flares.

what car?

if it's a 240z, 10 wide with -32 offset, it would be poking even with flares.

I have 9.5 - 14 or something and it's 1mm from the flares.

I have 15x8 -3 and I wouldn't really want to go much further -ve... I put a 15x8 -11 on for testing purposes once which looked like this:

Personally I like a bit less poke so I can run some nice wide tyres for period correctness

Food for thought. I probably should put a disclaimer up for haters and keyboard warriors... but meh.

So my current setup is 15X7 with zero offset running 225/50's. See pics.

Now this sounds very daring and hear me out. But I'd love to run a dish with neg offset;

Lets say I was to go for the 15X10 on rear, and providing that the tyre is stretched to a degree.. these are the following measurements I came up with with a -26, a -12 and zero offset;

Thoughts? If that's too extreme, maybe the Atara's 15X9 -13 offset running a 235/45/15

Have 3 sets f Atara here ready to freight.

Their fronts with a stretched tyre will jst get under a standard front guard, but rears with a stetched tyre will get very clse.

Rear lips will need work.

Pic f these Ataras on a Z.

For once I agree with the Yanks, measure wheels by backspace, much simpler that way. And of course tyre sizes and ride height can make a lot of difference to clearances, it's not all about the wheels.

Looking for SGR65's 'haters and keyboard warriors', looking, looking.........
