Hemma Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Good evening folks, Quick question: Is it a must to have fender flares for the following wheel sizes? Or can I get fenders pulled? just Front: 15x8j ET-5 Rear: 15X10J ET-32 Thanks Quote
Jason89 Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 The 8's will probably fit but theres no way the 10's are going to fit, especially with a -32 offset. Quote
andyk_79 Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Agree - the 8's will probably fit if you get your guards rolled. Quote
dat2kman Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 First, Lets find out,,, on what car? On a ZX body it is surprising what can fit, a bit f rear lipping and the old baseball bat, with a bit of back and forth action, and fitment of that "sucked in" tyre look, the neg32's may make it! I have a few sets f new in box Watanabe knockoff's in 15x9 at neg 13, on a Z body, yes work needed, on a ZX body, they just sneak in ncely! Quote
silvaghost23 Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Try a website called "Will they fit". Should give you the answer you're looking for. Link below: http://www.willtheyfit.com Quote
chris240 Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 In a 240z Im thinking the -5 will not fit...15x8 in a zero or +4 yes.. -5 has to be getting damn close to the perch. Quote
NZeder Posted November 23, 2014 Posted November 23, 2014 In a 240z Im thinking the -5 will not fit...15x8 in a zero or +4 yes.. -5 has to be getting damn close to the perch. you are getting it confused. A negative offset will be further away from the perch than a 0 of positive offset as the back space is lower. To the original poster. You will need big flares for the 10 with a -32 bigger than zg flares more like the group 4 type flares. Quote
tir33d Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 negative positive......damn I hate wheels Quote
chris240 Posted November 27, 2014 Posted November 27, 2014 Yep my wrong.. Negative is out, positive is in. Quote
phillay Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 what car? if it's a 240z, 10 wide with -32 offset, it would be poking even with flares. I have 9.5 - 14 or something and it's 1mm from the flares. Quote
locklock Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Hi, whats the deepest dish wheels that can be fitted into a 240z without wanting to put flares? Does anyone knows whats the specs of this wheels? I only know its 14" Quote
Administrators gav240z Posted November 28, 2015 Administrators Posted November 28, 2015 That guard has been flared.. Quote
locklock Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Wow gavin.. your eyes so sharp.. I couldnt tell.. Whats the deepest rim it can go without flaring? I want to the wheels something like the red car but dont want to flare. Quote
44014 Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 I have 17x10 -32 and with oversize zg flares and 255's on the rear ... they just fit inside the flare. locklock 1 Quote
Agno Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 I have 15x8 -3 and I wouldn't really want to go much further -ve... I put a 15x8 -11 on for testing purposes once which looked like this: Personally I like a bit less poke so I can run some nice wide tyres for period correctness Quote
SGR65 Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Food for thought. I probably should put a disclaimer up for haters and keyboard warriors... but meh. So my current setup is 15X7 with zero offset running 225/50's. See pics. Now this sounds very daring and hear me out. But I'd love to run a dish with neg offset; http://www.performancewheels.com.au/product/superlite-15/ Lets say I was to go for the 15X10 on rear, and providing that the tyre is stretched to a degree.. these are the following measurements I came up with with a -26, a -12 and zero offset; Thoughts? If that's too extreme, maybe the Atara's 15X9 -13 offset running a 235/45/15 Quote
dat2kman Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Have 3 sets f Atara here ready to freight. Their fronts with a stretched tyre will jst get under a standard front guard, but rears with a stetched tyre will get very clse. Rear lips will need work. Pic f these Ataras on a Z. Quote
260DET Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 For once I agree with the Yanks, measure wheels by backspace, much simpler that way. And of course tyre sizes and ride height can make a lot of difference to clearances, it's not all about the wheels. Looking for SGR65's 'haters and keyboard warriors', looking, looking......... Quote
andyk_79 Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Just don't go for this look....... Fully sick stance bro............ ha ha ha Quote
