Colour and whole looks great. Noticed the deck 240z badge is angled- is that a series 1 thing or a personal touch? Where did you find the hole trims, I'm hunting a pair. Cheers

I have sprayed mine the duplicolor graphite 102. Looks good, but admittedly I don't have anything other than pictures to compare. I'll put some pics up next week.

Thanks for the help all, I have wick humbles book, thought - great here's the answer - But my painter politely laughed at me ! I think i'll go the duplicolour with clear over - the painter seems happy with this approach.

Hi All, getting my tail light surround painted too, as part of a resto. It seems nailing down an actual product code isn't going to happen for the colour. So, my painter has offered me to look at samples. Is there anyone in Melbourne, preferably eastern side, with an original rear garnish I could inspect and match / choose the closest match too? Pm me if able to help. Cheers.

Thanks Pony, just to clarify I'm after the stainless trim AROUND the light light - attached to the finisher. Not the chrome plated plastic trim that runs through the tail light. I'll pm Gav all the same.

Hi All, re these trims. does anyone know if reproductions are available anywhere, or does anyone want to sell a couple, any ideas or suggestions welcome. I need 2 to originalise my tail light finishers. (can't find anything on line) Thanks

I did same - ran it around the underside of the hatch. Worked well for a while. I think the main issue is the larger inner seal.

Another funny thing re valve clearances - all the 240 manuals I have show to measure between the cam and rocker, whereas the Haymes 260z manual shows to measure between the rocker and the lash pad. I'm not sure where other people check clearance I do it at the lobe.

Hi, if you're looking for the airdam are you getting rid of the stock valance body parts, if so I'm after these. Not sure what air dam I've got, might be able to swap, who knows?

Hi Guys, Sorry if this has been covered before, a quick search did not turn up anything of use. I have a 73 240. The PO painted the beaver and taillights chrome trim in red to match the body. Probably seemed like a good idea at the time. I've seen black beavers and grey beavers , what is correct? And if anyone knows the colour code / finish I'd appreciated the info. Cheers in advance

No condensers - electronic ignition. Cleaned rotor button and dizzy contacts - problem gone. Should have tried this before posting, but didn't have time - was heading away for the weekend, anyway nice easy fix.
