  1. Yeah good effort Gav, they look great.
  2. Definatley only decorative. I have a full set for sale if anyone is chasing the chrome trim
  3. Oh wow.... That's either a dinner plate sized turbo or the highest set manifold out there.. I'm guessing the first. Looks good mate, that thing will sound like a jet
  4. Go McKinney. It's quality, and sits well. Also there are good race style Rb sumps (rear bowl + pickup) for $450ish. Get the engine/trans mounting kit, tail shaft as a must. Then grab the cooler and radiator+fan/shroud locally to save $ on shipping. Look in my build thread at the anodised mounts.. Re question. Straight bolt in. Everything lines right up
  5. Nice jobs mate. love the colour
  6. There are also little grommet cups that sit on the dash side of the cowl which holds them firm. Engine side is held by 4 screws.
  7. Its the ground dampness which rises - thats the biggest killer when stored outside mate. And sweating under the cover isnt great for the paint either.
  8. Haha, not quite mate. Just wondering if thats the final product or not.....
  9. Have you done a quick bolt on for those gnose panels Scoota or is that the final assembly??
  10. Ha, yeah never thought about the 2+2 weight advantages when it comes to engine options - true. was just being a douche, 240/260z - 2 seater are the same things.... both exquisite. To be honest fanatics like us would probably be the only ones these days to even pick the difference....
  11. Everyone who has a 260z says that!! But lets be honest - nothing beats the original
  12. Thanks fellas, I saw them, was hoping for something local as im getting impatient!!! Clark rubber worth a shot???
  13. Hi guys, desperately chasing 5 grommet rectangle shaped plugs that sit under the cowel, windscreen side. Let me know what you've got please!!!
  14. Mines done mate and no issues..this thread may be handy http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,15092.0.html
  15. Ohh yeah... I always fancied my 240z in bare metal (before paint it was a reality)... Yours will look sweet, good stuff
  16. What!! Why???
  17. Good on you for taking it out and having a blast mate. Whats the point in owning such a car and not giving her a run! Doesnt mean you have to be stupid, but who are these sideline warriors to judge you for taking the car out?? They should have all been on there knees, worshipping as the Hako flew past!!! Jealousy is a curse mate!
  18. So take the coastal, scenic route!!! May add an extra hour or two though
  19. BUMP
  20. Wow!!! Good progress, but man, thats a lot of work!!!!
  21. I agree it's tough on those without fox, but for those with fox - the coverage is 1000 times better than any of the free to air channels had. Streets ahead
  22. Nicely done. Did the hako attract plenty of attention.
  23. Riiiiiiighttt
  24. Welcome mate, and good choice on car for the father son project. General rule of thumb is get something as clean as the budget allows to start with and go from there.... Otherwise anywhere from $3-10k will get you a rusty shell to commence with. $15K+ and the body should be starting to be a lot better but "caveat emptor" when it comes to rust and the term "rust free" $25K + should be rust free cars... Goodluck, and go the 240z....
  25. Just hire a nice Caprice or something for the wifey mate... No woman would enjoy getting into and out the back of a datsun sports car on their wedding day... Her dress will absorb the 70's datsun smell!!!!
