  1. HI Chaps Well as some of you may have heard I did have a major engine issue at WTAC. I did get in about 10 hot laps on the Tursday practice. Learning such an awesome track is a challenge in itself. as well as the traffic. This was not a timed day. although my crew were timing the old fashioned way. Friday I put the control tyre on as required, went out to get a feel. Nice tyre btw. Started pushing more and more but still trying to get a handle on brake points and race line. Bellow is my best "timed" lap. a 1.44.06. I did go a couple quicker on Thursday arvo. Jeff is a great guy and we had a great laugh over the weekend. He wasn't laughing about how easily I bailed him up in this vid tho. LOL. Enjoy, and forgive my mistakes as I was quiet overwhelmed with the track. was confident I would have been in the low to mid 30,s Regards Paul My appoligize to any of you guys I didn't catch up with. I had spent a lot of time and coin getting the car sorted for this and to be honest it has saddened me to not finish the entire event. Was great to chat to the guys I did see..
  2. HI ZT-R It comes with a bell housing to bolt to the RB. You can use either RB splined clutch plates or go the bigger size GM spline like I have. It also runs a Tilton Centric slave cylinder not the standard RB fork Cheers
  3. Yeah as Luvemfast says. Albury is a bit out of the way. Im 80%sure I will be coming. Checked the calendar and nothing is happening then. Just have to clear it with the Boss, I mean my lovely wife.. I assume there is space to park trailer. Cheers
  4. Looks great Scott Shame your so far away would be great to see yours and Shanes car together
  5. Hmmm, Interstaters welcome? If the stars align.
  6. Fair enough. That being said I would pay the 2500 fee. Pretty sure if they made it the same entry fee you would weed out the goons in the poorly maintained vehicles aswell. I do not want to do door to door racing, If this means I don't get to drive around Bathurst so be it.
  7. This saddens me. I was going to enter next years event. If its the speed that is the issue why not just put a bollard chicane half way down the straight. Will slow people down but you still get the fun of driving 99% of the track flat out.
  8. Nice write up http://www.worldtimeattack.com/index.php/an-iconic-z-car-with-some-rb26-goodness/
  9. Thanks for the kind words chaps. Would love to take you all for a joy ride but getting to track days that allow passengers are few and far between these days Im off to Mallala on the 24th for some testing. Vids will follow( unless my gopro has a bad day) Cheers
  10. All stickered up ready for WTAC Cheers
  11. Sounds good knackers. WTF was that thing at the start and end of the video though. jeezuz.. ;D
  12. Hope the engine runs better than your link Knackers
  13. everytime you look in the mirror Mick, everytime
  14. Thanks Chaps, Pete, Kevs car is just blisteringly fast. Even 40 is unbeatable there. Hope I get to witness him doing a 38. that would be insane
  15. WTAC livery, Artists impression
  16. Front and rear wheel arches are different, Also rear wheel tubs. And then all the wheel arches need a swage line around them.
  17. Some of you may know we have recently modified a 240k to be a GTR clone. The owner has received the car now but here are some pics
  18. Gav if you have a local panel shop that uses PPG they may be able to scan it if the have a Spectrometer. If not send a section to me and I can scan it. it will give a formula that can be mixed up.
  19. Welcome aboard OH
  20. Easiest way to get the shape is cut a section from another car, doesn't even need to be a Z. But a bus roof would be similar. Once cut close to size get someone to hold it on you roof and mark the other side through the sunroof hole. Then oxy that thing in. Bit of a hammer on the weld line. Jobs done cheers
  21. Gav, I will always lead load any FACTORY lead joint. like roof to C and A pillars. Sills to 1/4 or dog legs. I wouldn't recommend lead in normal shallow dents in the middle of panels. Much easier and safer to get the dent out with hammer and dolly or dent puller. Fillers these days are good for 5mm+. Although I would not do it doesn't mean its no good. Here is a local kit if you want to give it a go http://www.metalmantools.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=24&products_id=124 cheers
