  1. It's sweet and tonnes of poke for a daily. I thought the rear bumper design when these came out was pretty cool. Nice colour too.
  2. V8 boy through and through
  3. Part of liking the "combining all three" is that it, well, combined all three. Don't see how starting at a carpark includes Taylor.
  4. +2 for 11th December.
  5. That sounds like a good idea, all permiting the dates Peter T's place is free...
  6. Was a nice day so got her out for a drive.
  7. Well there has not been much happening with the engine Garvice, the F54 was sent off to be checked and then possibly honed, but a few other things have happened. Bought the fuel set-up from (PZG302), big thanks Matt, no fleabay surge tank here, nice and solid, with a low pressure pump feeding to a Bosch 044. Picked up some 300zx Turbo CV axles, not sure if I will end up using them, depending which diff I go with, but they are there if need be. Picked up most of an Air Con set-up from Dimitri (Zedman240). Will try and fit the under dash part now and finish the rest off later. And also got a little bling! I've seen a nice gas lid knob on a few JDM and American Z's (re-chromed the wipers too), thought it was a nice touch. So yeah, a bit happening, plenty of bits in the garage, just not on the car!

    What Gearboxs Fit

No it's not a thread on 71C conversions, it's a thread on "What Gearboxes Fit" and Camouflage simply asked if a 71C would fit... Do whatever you like, I'm pointing out that different cars have different locations of their gearbox lever tunnel thingo hole lol, quoted by someone with more knowledge than most... Seems pretty on topic to me.

    What Gearboxs Fit

I'll lob something in here to make it even more confusing Mwahahahaaa! Now I'm no expert in this stuff but I've just had a 71C recoed and the 260 bell modified, god knows when it will end up in the car though. While I was speaking to Stuart from SWM about the gearbox mount modification for this upgrade, he said that the year of your 240 will also affect where the stick ends up. Apparently the earlier cars (being 71) tunnel hole is further back than the later cars (72, 73), so yet another consideration. I guess if you want to do a 71B/C change it obviously can be done, you will have a few mods to consider that are particular to your car/gearbox/console combo.
  11. Get the bling on Elay! http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?__Qpb=1&tsrc=allcarhome&__Ntk=CarAll&Cr=7&__Ns=pCar_PriceSort_Decimal|0||pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_Make_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&R=11503293&seot=1&__Ntt=280zx&silo=1011&__sid=128059CA7D9B&keywords=240z&__D=280zx&SearchAction=N&trecs=8&__Ntx=mode matchallpartial&__N=1216 1246 1247 1252 1282&__Nne=15&__Dx=mode matchany This is magic sick
  12. Ok I'll throw a hat in for Option 2, the Tambourine drive sounds good and I've been to Taylors place already And free any Sunday other than the 13th.
  13. Ahh +4 on switch My ignition would not engage, no hand brake light and it would eventually start once the light came on, very gremlin like. Solved with this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Datsun-240z-260z-280z-280zx-Ignition-Switch-NOS-/370505605900?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item5643dae30c
  14. JK_zeder for sure, if the chrissy party doesn't take off I'll catch up for sure, not too many Z's down here, except de3oy of course
  15. I think Sushi's place is great, it can't rain twice can it!!! If you want another place to consider I'll throw my place into the mix also. Only I'm not so central in Oxenford which is more or less on the Gold Coast. Just an idea, we could also meet at a park with barbies, and bring a plate, or a case! Will make it clear though, I don't mind either way, will come along whatever way it's done What date are we thinking...
  16. Pretty stunned, don't really know what to say. Deepest condolances to Aidan's friends and family, what admorable causes he sought to do for others. RIP.
  17. Sorry to hear that, get back to it nice and easy.
  18. Good question NZeder and one I have been considering too. I have a 15/16 ready and complete rotors/calipers from an S14, which I will probably use for the front set up on my car, the rears are a little more complicated with the handbrake etc. So I got thinking... what about sticking with the rear drums! Also got to thinking about the amount of work the rears do... my last bike was a Fireblade 929, there was always the old addage of 10% approx. braking from the rear, surely the drums could do their part. Other pluses are; They are already set up for the handbrake, they can be less effective when hot due to warping, but are just as effective if not more when cool. And the kicker... they are lighter... I mean yes set up the front to plant you through the windscreen, but maybe the current rear set up is up to the job?
  19. Sounds like a build thread to me....
  20. That was an instant forward, too good!
  21. That is shiver! Can't remember if my MSA orders have been over the 1k barrier, including shipping it could've been close, that's annoying!
  22. Sure got some nice gear there NZeder. Don't know if the mag is available in kiwi, but Performance Imports (issue: 132) has that semi-carbon fiber 240, it's got a NA RB30 with triples, very nice engine.
  23. 15inch maybe a little easier, but try finding 16inch V4's (4 stud), you will probably have to murder a rotary owner to get them! Sorry but I'm still getting over the nine month wait for mine
  24. Always liked the look of your old Zed, the wheel combo was juuust right! Good luck with the new family addition. After all the long work hours you may be able to justify another Zed!
  25. A mate in Kiwi had one of these, a yellow two door with the 2Ltr Pinto, went suprisingly well!
