  1. Just thought I'd update on the work that has been done to the crank. Firstly as you would expect, a forty year old diesel crank would not just drop into a high end stroker without needing some prep. And I think this is of course the consideration when buying a crank like this. SWM have indeed checked, cleaned and linished this crank in prep for its new application. What remains to be done from Stewarts professional opinion is a job called installing a "Speedy Sleeve". It was described as a requirement which most LD cranks of this age need, where a washer/sleeve is fitted to an end of the crank to ensure it will run as it always has. Stewart has said before that he'll charge $100 to have this done. Due to this last step to ensure the crank is stroketastic ready, I have reduced the price so that the new owner can have this done. $700
  2. Hi All Up for sale is an LD28 crank. It's been inspected, cleaned and linished by Stewart Wilkins Motorsport. If you are building a stroker, this is the go. It is sitting at SWM so we can organise to send your way, or you can pick it up directly from Stewart. $800 ono S700
  3. Deposit taken. Thanks Drays, we can tee something up next week/weekend.
  4. These ITB's are brand new, never been fitted. Purchased two to three years ago and stored since. During purchase Kevin at Extrudabody was sent the Series 1 HKS surge tank (at great cost in addition to surge tank purchase) to mate up to his throttle bodies. Either consider this set up as a period turbo solution, or use the ITB's in a NA set up and hang the surge tank on your wall to look pretty. Either way the surge tank has been modified for this application thus will not be separated. $1900 ono
  5. Thanks Mark, I'll be talking to you soon.
  6. Scoota you can see why the struts aren't ready mate. Yup, I was a returning and well paying past customer of accurate suspension, hard to imagine really. If anyone is swollen with glands let us know, Jasons shed makes anybody's car look good, but would appreciate any help. PM sent.
  7. I know Taylor here on the forum has some seat uphol, apparently he has kits available. Maybe he can help you out too?
  8. How does the Honda 2L go in a car that light?
  9. I've been watching this thread with great interest as I have two toggle hazard switches to go into my 71 eventually, thanks to your problem solving I'll certainly give it a go with more knowledge. Just want to mention that the US hvac/centre vent console was illuminated, maybe this is where your illumination could come from? I bought one as it was pretty trick - just a thought.
  10. Haha is this a general add thread now: I got some period correct interior that a mate made for free, and some steak knives...
  11. KK I am getting ready to change over my suspension, part of that has been having a spare set of front/rear struts powdercoated and put into my 71. If you are not in a huge hurry the struts which are in the car at the moment may suit your needs? Had a look under there a few days ago and they are in good nick. My change over should happen within the next month...

    (Qld) 260Z Stubs

Not sure if I have the right terms, but am after the stubs which go into an R200 so that my standard 240z axles can fit up to them... If anyone has some Id be happy to purchase. Rgds Z.
  13. Dunno Jakey, I'll need to check with someone who knows a little more about it. Will be finishing it all off soon so will get back on how it goes.
  14. Yeap sure did, and I agree with it, good on you for taking the time, amazeballs. Do I have to paste all the other copy stating Willwoods are great gear, I think you should perhaps read/research a little more (like I clearly did:) before writing off one of the best known brands around. Fact is they can be engineered for road legal use and yes, Willwoods are going in my car haha.
  15. I'd go AZC, more than adequate for the task or you'd be paying triple. Dust seals are not a requirement for brake calipers as far as the ADRs are concerned. Dust seals are not even mentioned in the ADRs. Plenty of production cars in Australia have brakes that do not have dust seals. There are also AP's that have been approved for road use here that also do not have dust seals. Even ones fitted a while back by HSV to their vehicles. But you will have more trouble getting a caliper like these passed here in Australia. Mainy because of misinformation. Best advice, contact your engineer about them to be sure.
  16. Had to save this to my thread for easy watching overandover, one sexy clip:
  17. Try SMART Automotive In Stafford Charliezed. He's old school mechanic and looks after plenty of zeds.
  18. Buddy if you think an enthusiast, speculator and investor are three different people you ain't been round this forum very long. This is the way of the world, I'm sure you'd love to pick up a house and flip it for a profit. This only demonstrates our cars increasing worth in my opinion.
  19. Noice, well worth it!
  20. Kit is now sold, many thanks.
  21. Sold pending payment.
