  1. How many of the lines are you going to do?
  2. Sounds a lot worse than it is, sister in law is a doctor so I'll get her to look at it. Glad I don't have to drift the new ones in, my hands are like a lego mans this morning. Great for holding coffee though
  3. That sounds good thanks, if I get new ones I'll buy a pair just to be safe
  4. The drivers side was the problem pin, neither of them looked rusty. I used inox, oxy/acetylene, pin pulling tool, de blurred with a dremel and it was still pig. I did the same method as you tai, but used mash hammer then 15lb sledge hammer... The drift actually started to break up, one piece flew off went through my hard yakka work pants and disappeared into my thigh, bled a fair bit and it still in there somewhere must have hit a vein. Do the new pins go in easily or do they need to be pressed in?
  5. Ok, thanks guys. Seen them on eBay but they want $40 to post them.
  6. Well what a day, first pin refused to come out regardless of what I tried. Ended up shearing off the threaded section in the pulling tool (luckily its double ended). Four hours, a sledge hammer and a cut leg later I finally got that pr$@k out! Thought I'd quickly see if the other side was as bad, came out in 10mins with all the suspension and brakes still connected

    Spindle pin

Hey guys I'm after one spindle pin but will buy a pair if I have to. Cheers,Gareth.
  8. I've never had more than a one second 'push/pull' test on my wheels during scrutineering at club days, If you have siameesed holes or multifit wheels then they may look a little closer. As far as I know spacers aren't an issue on track, it's the road thats the worry.
  9. I think satin black to match the rest of the car. Carbon can look good but it would look heaps better if the flares and spoiler were carbon to match it.
  10. Also got some bling for the PMC head maybe a little more skyline than Z but i think they're cool
  11. I got a baffled sump that will go on with the Kameari gasket I got from Jake. Hoping this seals that pesky little leak that the old sump has.
  12. Whats the reason for the spray bar and solid cam?
  13. I just have cheapo stock type from ebay, they are super soft and I'm not expecting them to last long. I had a look for heavy duty types but only came across Kameari type and damn were they expensive.
  14. Looks the goods Gordo! What sort of power are you anticipating, is it 2.9L?
  15. Thanks. Thats a great price! Torsen has been fantastic in my car, much better than previous clutchpack type
  16. Just out of interest do you know if the rear covers the same bolt spacing as 70's Datsun r180's?
  17. I still run all the tee blocks in the back with no issues and 15/16 master
  18. Quick temporary paint job, test fit on the car with blue-tack They match the car really well, I may fit some mesh inside them later on.
  19. All great info guys, thanks I haven't tried to remove them yet but had invisioned nightmares, so I bought the tool to make it easier. All the bushes in the rear of my car were stock and completely flogged out, so I have gone through and replaced them all with urethane and delrin offset inner control arm bushes. There seems to be some slight movement in them and with the hard work they'll get I thought now was as good a time as any to do them.
  20. Here's the comparison pic, the pads are virtually the same but the RX7 type come in many many brands/compounds. I was put onto this by GSL rallysport in QLD after I cooked their A1RM pads, Greg the guy up there was very helpful. IIRC the pads are the same as used in WRX's too. The holes have to be redrilled otherwise in the stock location the pads will touch the disc hat/hub. I can't find the part numbers I had Sorry.
  21. Their from a Mazda RX7 EFD3S, I have a comparison pic I can upload later today.
  22. Thanks hodgo, looks like castrol saf-xa is a gl5 type so should be suitable, comes highly recommended.
  23. I hope mine aren't seized in like that Daz. I've got one of his tools on the way so stay tuned. Will heating the arm cause any problems with the wheel bearings?
  24. Got some goodies in the post. I'll be removing the 'c' pillar badges and fitting these instead, they're called 'Hakosuka Works Aero Vents'. They should blend in with the car fairly nicely and replace those ugly badges. At this stage I'll paint them the same as the body color.
  25. You'll need 10mm 'helically wound' leads otherwise you get huge emf all through the engine bay. I sourced mine from IC&E in moorabbin. Seems like a good price on that coil, good output too. It's nice to buy from aus but we always pay two or three times as much for the same product
