  1. Option 1. If they are new shoes, they might not be mating up to the drum surface properly. Take a drum off and check if 100% of the shoe is wearing. Option 2. Install discs
  2. Oh so the excuse is a hacked Email account? Is that why I got an Email asking me to donate my 240z to the Garvice relief fund??

    Queensland Floods

Thanks Brad, I did get your message and certainly would have taken it up but by that stage the threat had passed for us. Really appreciate your offer though.

    Queensland Floods

We had a close call on Tuesday. The neighbour scared the heck out of me by telling me he was told to evacuate. The creek 100 m away was up to the road level. Another 2m in height and our house would have been flooded. More importantly the cars would have started going under. I was having to start thinking about which car to save as I would only be able to drive one. It turned out ok as the water level did not rise anymore than that. But it made for a sleepless night as we had to stay up to keep an eye on it. Luckily for us it was only localised flash flooding and is in no way connected to the Brisbane River.
  5. The posts in mine are gone too. I just joined two cable ties together so they would reach all the way around. The plus side is it only takes a snip to get in there again. You don't notice the cable ties because they are black.
  6. Sorry mate. Already been up and returned....just. Some of the roads are looking more like the grand canyon. I was in the Landcruiser which managed to handle some of the worse bits but I feel for those people in smaller cars.
  7. Yup, I am sure it will fit. So it looks like I am picking up everything except the bonnet and dash. I am grabbing the vents. Zedback wants me to grab the doors for him. Everything else is for Brabham (Aside from the bonnet and dash). Brabham, Your post has the comment you are after an R200 diff between 2.5 and 3.....I've never heard of those ratios. If you meant 3.5 and 4 then I have an R200 3.9 ratio I can also bring down for $50
  8. I want the vents. Brabham I will be driving through central NSW on my way to VIC in a couple of weeks. Not sure I could fit a bonnet but I could probably fit the other bits. Does that help?
  9. OH!!! Now I get it.....ouch!
  10. I don't get it. I would have thought the failure of the valve would only impact the proportion of oil being sent through the filter??? It seems like you are saying it causes engine failure due to lost oil pressure? Where does the pressure go?
  11. Just keep driving the car at 3k RPM or more....Its way more fun anyway....Another alternative is don't take any corners but that defeats half the fun of driving a zed.
  12. I do have one but it is painted yellow at the moment. The price for postage might be prohibitve anyway. But let me know if you can't find one locally.
  13. Yup, Thanks Scoota. I do have one and I can post it if you like. I will PM you with some details.

  15. Be vary careful. The fusable links are the RESULT not the CAUSE. The fusable links are only there so you don't start a fire due to shorting or overheating wires. If you just replace the fusable links you will be 95% sure to blow them straight away. You need to find the cause first or you are just wasting fusable links. If you think it is the starter earth or coil, fix them first.
  16. Maybe both the fusable links have blown. I wrapped a set of jumper leads around my neck like a tie the other day. Then went to the bouncer at the entrance to a local nightclub. He looked me up and down and said "OK I'll let you in but don't you start anything!"
  17. It seems I posted too early. I have just purchased another car to wreck. It should still have the cluster. I will send you a PM.
  18. I have had a look and I don't have a spare. I must have pulled it apart when I used the tacho in my 240z. Sorry.
  19. Sorry I have been offline for a while. I will take a look and ge back to you.
  20. I have a digital cluster for a 280zx. It has a switch to change from MPH to KPH. But the plugs are all different from the analogue cluster so I have never gotten around to doing anything with it. I might also have an analogue cluster around somewhere if you can't find one closer to home.
  21. Well that does sound much better. But the details are still sketchy. If the details aren't firmed up it will become more and more dificult to make it happen for me. IF anyone has a link to more details about the regularity please let us know.
  22. Yeah it is a matter of opinion. But I don't get your comment "Regularity fees look to be similar to FOSC?". We paid around $750 and received about an hour of track time. What do you think they are charging for regularity? Is there a link to their info? The information I copied from the organisers site has the following: The driveBathurst "Back 2 Back" entry fee is $2,815 inc GST. The driveBathurst "Early Bird" entry fee is $2,985 inc GST. The driveBathurst "Easy Payment" entry fee is $3,155 inc GST. The driveBathurst "Standard"entry fee is $3,415 inc GST If I could get in for $1100 I would be happy but even at $2200 it is too much for me.
  23. Really??? $2200 is good value? I think not. Not when FOSC gave similar track time for $750. Ah well if money is no object I guess it would be nice.
  24. Mate, your copies look soooo good. I am still keen for a set. I am finding I end up with water working its way through there into the boot. For that reason I think it would be quite important to get a good seal particularly along that bottom edge so the water can't drip into the cabin.
