So you've diagnosed that your timing isn't advancing, thats your problem right there? Check your timing at idle then give the engine a quick stab from the engine bay and see if the timing advances itself. If not, this is why you have no power in Drive.

Thanks for that guys. It's pretty much a toss up between AZC and TT. Does anyone have any good links to where we can see people who have installed this gear to get a bit of an idea.

Moving the number plate is to allow more air through the intercooler on turbo cars, not the radiator on NA cars.

Hi Guys, The gentlemen who purchased JET240 has been busy organising future mods for it and would like some advice. The list of new parts on order is making me jealous to say the least, but in particular he (we) would like some advice about suspension/brakes. An order has been placed for the following: Wilwood Front and Rear Brake Kit STAGE 3 1" Brake Master Cylinder Wilwood Brake Proportioning Valve The next step is ordering some suspension to match the performance this thing has. Ideally a direct replacement strut unit would be preferred so they can just be bolted straight in, as apposed to modifying the existing ones. We would appreciate any advice and experience in this area, and what to stay away from. The new owner has been studying up on this since his new purchase and will no doubt introduce himself at some stage. Thanks in advance (and I’ve got first dibs the car if he ever sells it so back off)

Looks like it Peter T. Well JET240 has made it to its new owner and safe and sound. Comments after a quick drive were that acceleration is comparable to a friends Porsche GT3. Nice.

I think I've got a speedo, tacho, oil press etc gauges from my 240z. Not sure if they're the same.

I think the dipsticks are suggesting that you'll be hard up finding someone to swap their desirable 240z for the less than desirable 2+2. Usually its the people with the 2+2's (like yourself) that want to go the other way.

Yes it was mentioned on the transport papers as well to deter joyriders. Plus it got 4w4 ride height:-)

All gone mate I think it landed in brissy today. Thanks for following me yesterday. For everyone else I made up some 2" thick wooden blanks to be inserted in my coil overs to give the zed an extra 2.5-3" ground clearance for loading on and off transporters. Only problem was I had to drive it to the depot 20k's away. All good though they stayed in place with cable ties, I just didn't drive it too hard which was painfull being my last trip and all.

Maybe one day Peter if I ever get my own house again, with a big shed.

Well this zed now has a new owner. I've taken payment and it'll be dropped off at depot for transport to gold coast tomorrow. :'(

Found a Z32 300ZX for sale here minus engine and gearbox. Still has brakes and r200 lsd diff with shafts as well as five stud rims. Would Anyone be interested in such things.

Does it have the airflow meter connected. That idle sound is all to familiar to an rb owner.
