  1. Good to see your actually doing something on your car yourself again. Or did you supervise Shaun. I know how small those boxes are, but each time I see one it makes me chuckle, then I go to lift my gearbox and I am not the one laughing anymore.
  2. I've got some gear http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,6592.0.html Also got an intercooler, and dump but exhaust probably wont work for you.
  3. Woodward http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php?/topic/61465-woodward-steering-joint-group-buy/ If I remember correctly the idea was that after the initial group buy the company would stock them as a regular part number. Brad
  4. Come on Shaun, get the quotes, take the money and pay your dad to do it.
  5. Damn that sucks. Wonder how you will take it once the hangover wears off and you can see clearly. HA!
  6. Wow, looks nice mate. Not sure how long your paint around the exhaust holes will last, but damn they look nice.
  7. Looking good mate. So are you actually keeping this one?
  8. I'm with you Jason, all I get is some bingo garbage.
  9. I daily drove my Z for a while with a button clutch. Thought I would hate it but I really enjoyed it. Was scary driving in peak traffic with women doing their makeup behind you though. Good luck with the search.
  10. I don't reckon that the $399 bumper is australian. When I went to check it out his excuse for not having the mounts was that "Maybe the American ones don't have the same type of mounts". By the look of his show room he imports a lot of gear and resells it.
  11. That is a bit of a screwup then. This is one, but couldn't find the one I originally found http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-240Z-240-Z-Bumper-Kit-New-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem2ea8543ea1QQitemZ200392588961QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories#ht_2721wt_941
  12. How did you go with the Z32 Transmission?
  13. I sent a few PMs but couldn't get him to get back to me. I am now doing a different engine (RB instead of L series) so I am building my own so I can get the diff angles where I want it.
  14. Didn't realise that the ones I posted were vietnam ones. Have seen stainless ones from US and UK manufacturers.
  15. Still awaiting the Classics Ben. Any more news on how long till they arrive? By the way, there is a kind of vendor forum, but it only has Otomoto in it. It is the Auszcar sponsors forum. But you have a part for sale, so I don't see why it cant go in this section of the forum. Only difference is you have several of them for sale.
  16. Here is another option, dearer but also stainless steel.
  17. He has a store just out at lawnton. I went there when they first popped up and they were bracket less. I heard through the grape vine that they were getting ones with brackets. Either way they did look pretty good quality. Though I suspect welding on a bracket will likely make the chrome peel/discolour. I would only buy by taking my bumper to his shop and measuring it against the one he has to make sure the brackets fit.
  18. How long is a piece of string? EDIT: Obviously great minds think alike hey herrods, I was writing this as you posted. You can spend anywhere from a few hundred dollars to build your own computer, all the way up to a good 3-4k for a fully sequential completely optioned motec. Good thing with buying an aftermarket computer is that the computer stays with you even when you change platforms. I started with an L28et, now I am moving to an RB and my computer is the same computer, just a different loom and tune. I had a shagged out engine and was putting a lot less timing into my L28 then I thought and it was still a hell of a lot of fun. One day I think I will go back to an all out L28et, but for now I am trying something else. I also have some L28et parts for sale in the "Parts for sale forum" if your interested, although postage to melbourne would be a killer since they are the heavy items like manifold, turbo, intercooler, gearbox, etc, etc etc.
  19. He has gotten a job on an oil rig, fly in fly out and now has bucket loads of cash to buy the 370z but no time to restore other peoples cars. Am I close?
  20. Damn, I am not drinking the water at Viczcar anymore. Everyone seems to be selling their Zs. Good luck with the sale mate, looks very clean. Brad
  21. It is a pain when you are off work with a "Virus" (Zed virus?) and the parts you need while working on your virus arrive at work. DAM! HA. Headers look great, but are they actually welded at the flange? I can only see one tack at the top of each runner, are they welded on the engine side of the flange?
  22. Not big enough. I am in the progress of building a 7.7m x 7.7m shed. One bay (3m) will be a carpark and toilet/shelving area, the remaining space will be car working/workshop space. Even with this size shed I have convinced myself that this will be an inbetween shed. Good for the next 5 years, but for the next shed I will be looking for something about 7.5m span by approx 15m long, that should give me 4 car working bays plus a 7.5m x 3m workshop area. I think that will satisfy me (I think, hell I haven't even got my current shed yet and I am already dreaming about my next one).
  23. I thought the 2+2 ones were wider? Or are you just after chromed plastic section?
  24. No worries, no help from me I'm sorry.
  25. For your current project? I.E. 2 Seater?
