  1. Z - Vindicare has put his name down for the coil bracket. If he doesn't buy it you have second dibs. Did you just want the bracket minus coils/leads? haul - I am not quite sure what I want to do about the turbo. The internally wastegated ones are generally quite a bit more. If I do get rid of it I would probably advertise it for $1k and see what interest I get for it. They seem to be a good upgrade size for the RB stock turbo, so might even advertise on a skylines forum if I do decide to sell it.
  2. Brisbane (Second line of the thread mate). Feel like a long drive? Postage might be a killer on the intake, if your interested I can find out what it will cost.
  3. A few people have showed interest in parts. I will continue to update thread with interested parties and will make it clear when these parts have sold. Feel free to let me know if you want to take a number on parts incase the first person pulls out.
  4. I am sure I will regret this in the future, as one day I will want to build another L6 Turbo, but for now I have no use for this gear so I am seeing if there is any interest in it. All gear is in Brisbane northside Mechanical fan with shroud $50 N42 Intake, opening matched to throttle body $100 New Price - $75 SOLD - N42 Block/oil pump that needs a serious rebuild and perhaps new crank.$50 New price - Take it away for free SOLD - EXEDY 5 puck button clutch and 300mm flywheel. I had 320ftlbs of torque going through this clutch and it didn't slip. Clutch and flywheel have some wear (couldn't find my feeler gauge but I would say 2-3thou). $350 for the pair, I can ship the clutch, flywheel might be a different story, was just throwing the flywheel in for someone picking it up Even though it is a button clutch it was very drivable. New Price - $300 SOLD - And my turbo/stainless turbo lines. Turbo is a bit of a garrett mystery. Was sold it on car as a GT30/40r. Front turbine blades are same size as a GT35R, but scroll is smaller, Rear turbine housing is a 2in outlet and it is an internally wastegated ball bearing job. Oil and water cooled. SOLD - 280zx gearbox $100 New Price $50 SOLD - F54 Nissan head Gasket $100 ($133.42 from Nissan) E88 Intake/Exhaust Gasket (Bought to use on my P90 head) $50 ($58.16 from Nissan) Rocker Cover Gasket $15 ($19.93 from Nissan) New price, have the lot for $125 SOLD - Turbo Exhaust Manifold $350 (Turbo not included in price) Orange/Red is a paint that is flaking off (not rust). Underneath is a grey high temp paint, is in great condition. SOLD - L28 Turbo sump (Has a oil return incorporated into exhaust side). $50 SOLD - 60mm Hitachi Throttle body believe off a 240sx and idle bypass flange $100 SOLD - P90 Head (original size combustion chamber, measured up at 53.5cc, put a straight edge across it and it was 4-5thou from end to middle) $350, really don't want to ship this one though, too heavy. SOLD - Turbo Valve cover, paint is flaking due to dodgy paint job $200 SOLD - Z32 300zx/RB25/RB26 gearbox to L6 motor kit. $600 SOLD - Brand New L6 ARP head bolts $150 (cost $177 from VPW) SOLD - Brand New L6 ARP Rod bolts $55 (cost $65 from VPW) also fit VG30E and VG30ET SOLD - L28ET Distributor (now just cas, but I think I still have the cap/rotor) with RB30 pickup wheel. Was using this for sequential ignition and injection. It also has a custom aluminium cover (not properly alligned in the photo, it actually matches up perfectly and you barely see the join lines). $350 SOLD - LS1 Coil Bracket, coils and leads (no Low Voltage plugs as they are still attached to my Motec Loom) $150 SOLD - JSK Fuel Rail and norgen fuel pressure gauge $150 SOLD - 7MGTE 440cc Injectors and injector hold downs $125
  5. No I understand why you want to sell the 2 seater. You need a 2+2.

    jags that run

    Manual is available for jagsthatrun.com
  7. Seen one like that around virginia. The one I saw looked like the work had been done a good 10 years ago and could use some work.

    Classic Japanese

So how was it? I was going to come have a look but I picked up a front cut sat morning and was hoping to have it fully stripped yesterday but it ended up going into today. Man new cars have kms of wire and acres of plastic.
  9. What are you using to ensure that the bumper is the same left to right. Just by eye? or are you using a gauge?
  10. Your thinking of greg, but we do live close and have a screen name starting with G, so I can see the mistake. Still think you should have welded up the holes at the body work stage then re-drilled new holes, but at least Nat is fixing it.
  11. Wow, you have done well mate. Or should I say, wow you have handed your money over well mate. It did look like a bit of an eye saw before mate. Brad
  12. Mate what were they thinking when they put the nissan plates back on. They have done such a quality job with the car then they clearly put the name plate on crooked. That would bug the crap out of me, don't know how you can put up with it.
  13. What will the labour cost be for his mechanic to do it though Shaun? You can't expect a mechanical engineer like steve to get his hands dirty. He has said before he doesn't have tools.
  14. dazzed - It is like anything else in life. Risk vs reward. Most theives are not going to try and steel something that they can not move for a decent reward. No offence to the owner who almost got his car stolen, but I think there would be much more valuable classics that the theif could have targeted rather then a datsun. Perhaps the risk (parked outside not in a locked garage, those gates can normally be defeated from inside if you jump the fence) was not very great to justify targeting this car.
  15. Damn steve. You're starting to show us up now. I better get my but into gear.
  16. Seems like even GPS is useless when there is gear like this out there. http://boingboing.net/2009/07/30/gps-jammer-plugs-int.html
  17. Sorry to say this guys, but if someone wants your car bad enough, there is not much you can do to stop them (other then have the car locked on a hoist or something). I use to work in town and you would often see cars being towed by a truck with the alarms going off. The truck drivers could pull up, have the car tied down and be driving off in under a minute. No one even batts an eyelid at it. The tracking device sounds like a good idea, but make sure it is hidden and the theifs don't know about it (i.e, steve don't put it in your build thread).
  18. HA! I couldn't think of any coastal roads longer then a few hundred metres either.
  19. WOW. Can anyone say snowball effect? I bet your now thinking, how did removing a strip of black paint turn into a full respray? I am having simillar thoughts about my car at the moment, however it is the mechanical side of things.
  20. That would be John Whittaker's car of Brisbane Tuning and Turbo. Oh yeah and it is far from standard, so don't think about giving it a go at the lights. http://autospeed.com/cms/title_RB26-260/A_111292/article.html
  21. That is a lot of bog! You must have taken you ages to build that up in layers. Well done mate it is coming together.
  22. Sure you don't want to think about it. HA! Gees mate, should call you Verbal. The man with the plan.
  23. I think if you swap 3 and 4 they will look more in proportion. You can always put the extra runner length between the throttle bodies and the plenum. Keep it like you have it so the injectors are nice and close to the head.
  24. If your looking at chrome, then I wouldn't look at the last set on there from MSA. They are plastic which has been chromed. When I got my black ones they were quite shiny, took a fair bit of sanding to get the glaze off the surface. If they have chromed straight onto a black set then I can't see it lasting long. Try getting a metal set if you want it chromed.
  25. I've got the last set you posted from msa, but i got the black ones and painted them white. Also have a pair of my old ones which are the same but in die cast not plastic if you want to see how they will look on your car (passenger side one is broken which is why I replaced). You could rattle can spray them red or black etc to see how they look before you buy them. Either way you go, they are cheap from msa and get here quick. Brad
