    Looking good! I will be waiting for youtube vids.... My old man (retired auto elec, now builder) used to reckon that you could use a reluctor based distributor to get the same information using rising/falling edges of the output signal and was just as reliable and accurate as an optical based CAS up to a certain RPM when both begin to diverge. I have been looking at EFI using the reluctor 280Z dizzy in my 240Z at the moment but the only ECU I can think of that could be adapted straight to the analogue signal is a megasquirt.

    At what point will the round top SU's be a bottle neck for an engine? Ie. any idea what kind of camshaft, displacement increases and porting mods can they support?

    The bare rolling shell disappeared out of the storage shed last week destined to be chopped up for the electric sunroof. :'( If anyone needs 2+2 parts, PM me and I might be able to help. The car was bare except for the front and rear sub-frames (diff went with the car) so I have the rest of the stuff. Some examples of parts I have are brand new brake and clutch MC, CRS RB mounts and crossmember, bonnet with vents, hatch, back seats, doors and doorcards as well as heater unit and AC setup (pending).

    99% sure the RB20DET and RB25DE boxes are virtually the same. Obviously the RB25DE would be better engineered on the inside

    Sometimes it does suck to live in QLD. We seem to have a small selection of insurance companies that offer insurance.

    One key for doors/boot and one key for ignition here. I didn't know there where two different keys when I bought the 240 and it nearly drove me insane when I couldn't lock the car when I got to my destination. I think the bystanders and onlookers were suitably amused by my reaction.

    What kind of BMW was it that you beat? Metric pen or imperial pen?

    Spools L28 rods go for $600. I asked about custom lengths not so long ago, the minimum batch size is 36 rods at $150 per rod.
