If inside the piston and bore are dirty it will not allow the piston to return to it's seated position because of the way the piston twists as brake pad wear occurs. Disassemble, clean and rekit. I had the same problem. Scoota (Oh and yay me for 2000+ posts)

I had my set done locally for $80 but i welded up the holes. If you run into problems send me a message and i could get them done for you, as you can see i've already done the conversion -
This might be asking a bit much but you don't have a photo of the offending item too as i'm unsure of the type of bearing. Obviously not a sealed type but!

Yes post up the bearing number on here and if you can the inner and outer diameter. the bearing shop up here has never let me down yet.

Well i used the copper one for a few laps and then ripped it back out and replaced with the one Peter Mac generously sent me down. Always wanted to try a copper one but the Hylomar was usless and i would suspect that surfaces have to be surgical. She's all bolted back together now and runs really well with the extra cubes, i think i'll do a stroker Thanks again Pete.
