Interesting point but, could you take off the skin, shorten and fit a 2 seater skin? Door frames can be hard to find in good nick for a 2 seater!

I am restoring one in similar condition and have just finished all rust repairs ready for bodywork and engine fitting. If you're on facebook and are interested i will point you to the page, some welding skill will be required to repair but with these guys help. You will be repairing other members cars within 3 years. Trust me i know this as fact!

Sorry Mr adams but i have to agree with Wildy here, i've done them both and the stock internal setup on the points dizzy is nowhere near as fragile as the 280ZX dizzy! I would vote for the Pertronix system with new coil and remove ballist resistor.

Wire brush then spray with convertor, rinse and repeat. 95% is cut out the other 5% is treated. Yes the copper paint is a weld through primer, gives a great base and excellent welds. I like to take these right back and then start with a solid base. Should be bullet proof!

Straight up Tai you sounded like a Dalek the connection was that bad. But as for the seats they are very, very easy to fit. Not much good if you're taller as they may not go back far enough. But i'd say under 5'11" ish should be ok! thanks for your help.
