Perhaps I should explain my relative lack of activity on the forum. While I would love to own a 240Z one day I actually have a Morgan plus 8 that I've been modifying. One of the compliments that can be paid to the Z is that its rear drums bolt on to the rear end of a Moggie (after machining) and improve the brakes markedly, and look a whole lot better than the standard iron bits. I was hoping that someone has upgraded their Z to discs and would have some bits left over ... just the drums though, the rest of the brake system is very English and can be kept. I should have said that I'm in Canberra, but don't hold that against me! Cheers Terry

I'm after a pair of finned alloy drums. I'm looking for good drums with fins intact, still some wear in them. Cheers Terry

Thanks for the replies folks. Sorry, I forgot to say that I was in Canberra. The car is a 1982 Plus 8. It goes well but I sometimes feel the need to pull it up, hence the upgrade to rear alloy drums which will take a few hard stops. The Moggie people tell me they're as good as a disc conversion, but I'll bet the Z modifiers have their own opinion on that. I am grateful for the responses. Hi folks I'm new to this forum, and in a sense I'm a foreigner. I have a Morgan and would you believe that a well tried brake upgrade is to fit rear Z drums (suitably machined) to the rear. I am after a pair of drums in servicable condition, and I was hoping this forum might produce some from someone who has fitted rear discs, or maybe is breaking a car for bits Cheers Terry
