Sounds like they have probably based the price on the US Market where you may find something for that price there. Perhaps they should've done some research prior to reaching out to group and clubs.

Early 260Z 2+2 seats will fit. If not you will have to swap over the brackets if you have them or you could redrill the brackets from the later seats and cut off the 4 tabs that are on a 45 degree angle. I had price of $250 just to redo the bottom seat section from a local trimmer. You can buy leather seat trims off ebay from the States from around $350 and retrim them yourself.

My engineer did nothing more than ask me how much the vehicle weighed, the silly bugger at vic roads took one look at the certificate and said "This is for a Ford" i then had to point out in front of two of his female co-workers that Ford was the make of the Engine fitted after which point he started making me jump forward around backwards and sideways. He was even refusing to have the car inspected on the day and stated that i must have the address and the name of the previous owner even though i bought it as an unregistered rolling shell that had never been recorded as being registered in Australia. At the end of the day you may be dealing with people who have little or no experience with Datsuns.

2 Seater or 2+2? National code applied to a 260Z 2 seater works out to be 4.4 Liters, 2+2 being 1200 Kgs you can fit an engine up to 6.0 Liters. This changes with turbo applications too.

3000 Kays travelled in the Zed and the only thing that had gone wrong was noisy front brake pads.

I got one from Supercheap at $160 ish. To be honest the 15/16 is better for the Toyota S12+8/ R31 conversion.

What size tyres are you running? I have a V8 in my 2+2 and it's light and easy to steer.

They sell brand new ones at my local speed shop. I may have a spare floating around, i'll check in the morning.

The LSD could be the rare H195 alloy carrier type, great replacement for a stock 200B diff. Might be better parting it out.
