  1. I'll grab the ones dale has get the tyres stripped and help get postage sorted.
  2. I like that idea, all i need is one of those camping units that they had in the back of the Rana Hatchbacks.
  3. Looks R200 all the way to me, R180's are much squarer at the back.
  4. Split from: http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,13140.0.html Why not have the Chistmas meet at the Car Show?
  5. A small block will come in around 45 Kgs heavier then the L Series and you lose 25 Kgs at the front if it has an aluminium radiator and intake manifold. Brake fade is what them measure which requires the vehicle to stop from 60 to 0 20 times in a row at .65 Negative G's and then a 100 to 0 at .8 Negative G's (from memory, may vary a little). I doubt if anyone here has ever done such a brake test on a stock Zed braking system
  6. Don't stop the music. It's great to see such pace in a build. I have a full bush kit from the states so if it's going to be weeks before it arrives yell out and i'll post out what you need. You can always send me the replacements back later.
  7. The second one.
  8. Yes correct, my bad.
  9. Had an issue with the new Zed since i put it on the road. When i put the heater on full the wipers turn over one cycle and the intermittent wipers will not work at all and stops the wipers in random spots. Figure i have the wrong dash wiring loom for my model. Any ideas guys?
  10. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/260z-Datsun-Bonnet-Vents-/231029728002?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35ca71e302#ht_26wt_1009
  11. I'll come too. Was great last year.
  12. Correct. It's a copper rich primer.
  13. This is an example of the spray pattern i was talking about. Epoxy of primer on the inside and weld through primer on the edges.
  14. There's a place called 1600 Spares in Howitt St Ballarat. Maybe give them a try? http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Datsun-1600-Spares/142822862430379?fref=ts
  15. Goodness, i threw a set of dust covers to scrap this morning. Try Trufit for the rear carpet.
  16. The new one is for the current project car LHS. I'm yet to make a RHS Dolly but yes i can reproduce these for $50. Here it is with the nuts welded in place.
  17. But probably what you really want is one of these things in the centre of picture.
  18. Drill out the spot welds from one side. Cut the outer piece off as the chap above has done then check condition. The inside is flat so it's easy to repair. As stated above the outer is harder to fabricate. When welding it back together use weld through primer where two metal pieces join, then etch primer on the rest followed by an epoxy. Do not contaiminate the areas to be joined with the latter two paints. After that just clamp in place and puddle weld the spot weld holes. Simples
  19. Very common to rust there. Hardest part to fabricate is the outer (no really?) i used donor parts on fuzzydropbear 's 260Z as he had a spare shell. It's quite easy for the drain hole to become blocked over time and that causes the issue. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,6709.15.html
  20. On your fuse box on the lh side down the bottom you may have a blank fuse hole that just needs a holder for the output side of the fuse. Pretty sure it's acc power. I have a spare fusebox that i could send you the piece for to hook it up to power. I run my thermo fan off it.
  21. Green/red powers the relay. Green/black is from the button and then green all the way to the horns with no color ghange. Straight from the Nissan Service Manual.
  22. There's a set of triples on ebay for $2000 that comes with a free 260Z 2+2. Keep an eye out here or shop around for the bits at the best price and start from scratch. One problem with starting from scratch is that you'll find they often sell in pairs, linkages and jetting also take time and patience to set up.
  23. You can build a set of triple 40MM Dellortos for that price. A couple of members have had sets here and i do believe one person runs them.
  24. Well i fit Early model (1974) 260Z 2+2 seats into my later (1975) 260Z 2+2 by changing the seat brackets only. Should be a snap.
