There should be two different rubbers for each side. One is smaller, i think you're trying to fit the wrong one.

I've put the new Cylinder Head on today (3 months to get all the bits) and it was very much a straight forward operation. This one is shaved with stainless steel valves, cam towers have been shimmed which set the pad wipe up perfect. Sounds SaaaWeeet but i'll wait for tomorrow for a run... i do remember saying that i was finished under the bonnet, i suppose one day that will be true :-\

I had a sonic test on my L26 block and was advised against going for L28 pistons. The test was free.

There's a very good chace Dale will be finished with it by the time your's is engine ready. We'll freshen it up, drop it in and then 4 weeks later take it out, shelve it and put the L24 back in.
