  1. Might i say Brian as soon as you think it, thats what makes it happen. None the less this is a great site for info, new friends, random cruizes and the odd laugh. Introduce yourself and post up some pics, those guys stuck in their offices and police stations are really bored and need some new input. Me, i get to work on Zeds any day i choose. Bahahahaha!!!!
  2. Way ahead of you on that one, it's alredy been posted on here and might i say that is a very nice example of a 240. ... Moderators may get a bit upset about your introduction being a for sale but hey, Dat thing is just sooooooo pretty. Good luck with the sale (1000+ member) Mark K
  3. I sent dale a PM about this as i said on the weekend "we can just get a cheap L28 and stick that in" ... Just look what showed up here.
  4. So who's the new owner?
  5. Just what every 240Z owner needs.. a set of H-Beam rods. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/connecting-rods-Datsun-L16-L24-conrods-/350033555975?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories
  6. Here's an item i just listed. A little Supercharger. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200508454959&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:AU:1123 God i'm soooooo bored.
  7. Yea that's good squishy.
  8. Yea get them... we need more members with Triples Do it do it do it do it Do it Now
  9. Hmmmm, yes and no. I like them because they are unique and they are a very reliable carby. Any manifold/adaptor with a bend like that in them will impede flow. I'm a big fan of sidedraughts be it the Su type or my Fav, Triples. The first set of Dellortos i built cost over a grand but the second set cost a lot less because i knew prices and what to pay, how to search. Trouble is if your on a budget finding a second hand manifold for triples can be a pain with one second hand manifold showing up on ebay every 12 months on average and you'll only save $100 off new price. If you can get a whole set ready to bolt on they'll cost about a grand any day of the week and thats for Dellortos, webers will be more. In the end its really up to you, i think that those twin down draught webers would look great with a custom air cleaner.
  10. I took mine to the local brake specialist and they rebonded them, did the same with Dale's 240Z and the brake shoes are the same.
  11. Dalee has a spare set of roundies. Send him a PM. He also has that clutch.
  12. See i've been to apollo bay so many times it's stupid but i love the drive there, but then again going to Thredbo... I'm +1 for ditching this one and going to Thredbo.
  13. It's a single part acrylic PPG item. Grey from memory.
  14. Well both Dales L24's have a similar amount of wear (check out the deposits on the valves) so with both the engines stripped bare and ready to go to the machine shop, it's back to the build thread. No more hijacking by me. I cleared the garage/workshop and block sanded the whole car after the trace coat finding 25 seperate imperfections left on the body. Most of these will be taken care of by the next coat of Primer/ Filler. Then all we need is a reasonable day in Ballarat and i'll shoot the primer ready for the Top Coat.
  15. Just what i told my dad.... Google is your friend. http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/Home/Registration/PermitsModificationsAndDefects/UnregisteredVehiclePermit.htm
  16. You can get it for the day a week, 28 days. Make sure you have the last rego number or the chassis and engine number. I think the last time i got a 28 day permit it was $62.50 but prices on everything went up at the end of July.
  17. Seems that people caught the "i wanna sell my car" Bug after the Rust Repair day... Our cars make us unique and it's a bugger when you're forced into a situation. I'm sure if someone did buy it they would finish it and keep us all informed of the progress, But Kyle, all that work? See how you go i'm +1 for kyle not selling.
  18. I'm not in a real rush so i just got a set for $170 Australian on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140137869729&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:MOTORS:1123
  19. Where in the states do you get them from as i looked on ebay and postage brings them out to around the same price as VPW.
  20. I'm sure i looked at a link on here the other day, can't find it. I'm wondering if anyone knows where to buy ARP products in Melbourne. Head studs and rod bolts.
  21. That was Lurch's Jedi Mind Power (and a well placed dolly struck just right) that bent that. "There is no spoon"
